We have an apartment sized Sunray electric stove. We would like to replace the drip pans. There is one larger burner and 3 smaller ones. Also the larger burner part that has the coil on it broke apart so we would like to replace that too.

SOURCE: Gas range top burners hard to light...

Gas burners use propane or natural gas...refer to the manual to see what it takes and sometimes you have a switch to select the proper gas. you can call a gas man to confirm this and correctly tell you whats going on. but he will propably make a trip. good luck

SOURCE: Kenmore Electric Stove - Gourmet Edition

Hello! I have this stove in black where something went bad inside last week (made like a crunching sound). It still runs but seems to only be getting 110 electricity. Clock and lights work and the large oven stays warm. Everything was working fine until this happened. Could be an inexpensive fix- I willing to sell it for repair or parts if you are interested. The griddle alone sells for $170.00 through Sears. Cynthia

SOURCE: One of the burner does not work on my electric Kenmore stove.

the eazy answer is its the burner.i only say that because on most service calls with your complaint it dose indeed end up being the burner.but before i come to that conclusion i do check the out put of that burners switch.if has 220 volt output then its the burner, even tho if you look at the wiring diagram it will show a limiter before it gets to the burner but that part is built in to the switch and is not replacable on its own.so then use volt meter take a look at your wiring diagram .look on that diagram and decide which wires are leaving the questioned switch that controls your bad burner .place your probes on those wires again if reads 220 volts replace the burner. i hope this helps .God bless ,tom

Since you are having problems with multiple elements the problem is probably the circuit board that controls them. This can be ordered and replaced. Be sure to unplug the stove before getting into the circuit board though.

Back burner caught fire

If the water has been dried up, it was most likely the drip pans. Water is non flammable, sorry i couldn't help myself. If water was the problem there would be sparks and buzzing noises first.

Converting aan LP oven to gas

In most cases the pressure regulator has to be changed or adjusted. The orfices on each burner, oven, broiler and surface burner may need to be changed also. Sometimes they can be adjusted. Sometimes the threads on the pipe are different also. This is to prevent accidental connection to the wrong fuel. The big difference is the gas pressure. LP is usually around 10 - 12 lbs and natural gas is usually around 3 lbs. Properly adjusted you will like natural gas much better than LP as it is slightly hotter. The information will be in the instruction book and also on the Jenn air web site. Whirlpool owns both Maytag and Jenn aire so check all sites. The conversion kit is usually less than $50.
