Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: my skycaddie froze in transferring

perform a soft reset. hold power and joystick for 8 seconds. it will turn off. now turn on. if boots up correctly, then ok. if not, then perform hard reset. push the information button (i) and flag button at same time. while both buttons are pressed turn on power. you should be in recovery mode. if so, re-sync.

Not syncing with an i mac OS X yosemite

This is as a result of the firewall blocking your device from connecting to you computer

To solve this you will have to add caddiesync as an exception on your firewall

To do so,do the following

From System Preferences, select Security > Firewall

If your Firewall is set to ON, select "Advanced"

You will see a list of incoming connections you are allowing. Select plus (+) to add Caddie-sync

From the list, select "CaddieSync for Mac"

You should see CaddieSync for Mac in the list of incoming connections. Make sure it says "Accept Incoming Connections" beside that item.

My device will not turn on nor will it sync

This is a problem sometimes with software and with devices that have been exposed to magnetic waves. Try removing all batteries from your device. Replace the battery (ies) turn on your computer and bring up the latest software for skycaddie. Plug the device into your computer and then turn on your GPS device. Your computer should discover your device and either reinstall the needed software or inform you of what the issues are and what you should do about it. If all else fails, send the skycaddie GPS device back to the manufacture so they can "fix" your issue with software.

Best regards

How do I renew a subscibtuion to Sky caddie?

You need the CaddieSync software installed on a PC.

  • If you have not already done so, you can download the software HERE.
  • Connect your SkyCaddy to the PC.
  • You can renew your membership on the Account Overview page in CaddieSync.
    If your membership has expired:
  • Turn on your SkyCaddie and connect it to your computer.
  • Launch CaddieSync. If No SkyCaddie Synced appears in the lower navigation bar, click the Sync button.
To ensure your courses are updated and downloaded to your SkyCaddie, click the COURSES tab at the top of the CaddieSync screen and select Favorites. You can manage your courses on this page or download courses to update your SkyCaddie.
  • Click the ACCOUNT tab in the upper navigation bar.
  • Login with your username and password. If you do not recall your password, click Forgot your username or password?.
  • On the Account Overview page, click link the Renew link under Actions at the lower right of the CaddieSync window.
If your membership has not expired, you can use the same procedure to renew.
When you renew your membership within 90 days of expiration, you retain your current expiration date as your activation anniversary. You do not risk losing your membership by renewing early.

SG4 will not sync. display has UPDATE PROGRAM

Ran into this problem last night. Was trying to update software on Skycaddie. According to computer, everything finished. However, my skycaddie was displaying UPDATE PROGRAM VER 00.13 (B) Ready to Begin. Tried to reload last application as stated in earlier post. PC could not fine skycaddie.

Gave up and called customer service this morning. Only took a few minutes to get a live rep on the phone. He e-mailed me a link to execute that allowed him access to my computer. He tried to reload the last application as well, same result. He then ran an update program via a website, program found my skycaddie and was successfully updated. Whole process took less than five minutes.

I was fearing having to send my unit in for repair.

Locked on Update screen...will not function at all

Contacted SkyGolf directly and they were very helpful. It was a simple software reset accomplished in two steps:

On the TOOLS pulldown menu, select RELOAD, then select RELOAD LAST APPLICATION, which in my case was the latest firmware update (ver 2.2). They (SkyGolf Tech Support) also accesses your computer remotely via a HS Internet Connection and can do the entire process for you.

It then reset the last update program, which had stalled (causing the lock-up) and then all I had to do was reinstall the latest update, disconnect the Skycaddie and do a GPS RESET outside where it can capture the satellites, then do another SYNC to get it back where it was before the problem began.

I was very thankful that it did not require sending the unit in for repair or replacement.

Additionally, the newest firmware update adds SCORING capabilities to the SG4, which I think is cool.

Adding a new course

You must be sure the SkyCaddie is turned on and connected to your computer. You should then launch the SkyCaddie desktop software that you should already have loaded onto your computer. The two should automatically connect and should take you to your golf course listing on the device. From this list, you can add or remove golf courses to your device by either clicking on the ADD button or the REMOVE button on the list, whichever process you want to perform.
