Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

My question is regarding a LG Model No. WM 1815 CS washer. The washer began to leak during the initial loading cycle along the bottom of the washer. The pump filter along the bottom left side was unscrewed and cleaned out-very dirty with rusted bobbie pins and other material. I didn't do anything with the hose just left of the pump filter. After checking the hoses and connections along the back and securing the plastic pump filter, I started another cycle and noticed water again along the bottom. The water also contained soap. What should I do next?

If the water contained soap or soap bubbles in it then it can be from soap dispenser.A water leak coming from the soap dispenser also may indicate a problem with overfilling or a blocked pump if it leaks when the washing machine is spinning.Examine the soap dispenser to see if something is blocking it. Sometimes a black gunk build-up could be blocking the water holes. Also, check if a hose connected to the soap dispenser is obstructed. Most times, undissolved washing detergent could be the culprit.Look at the hose that is connected to the soap dispenser. Often, they are not wide enough to accommodate any build up of detergent and the flow of water could be affected and cause it to splash around and cause a leak. Door seals often get holes in them and water leaks down the inside of the washing machine which then runs out under the front. Water leaking down the front of the washing machine from the door can be caused by a worn door seal .You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com

The last spin is the final Emptying phase. There has to be a leak somewhere in the exiting water route. All tubing and the water pump along with all clamps will need to be checked for integrity.

Hi!

I think there is nothing wrong with your washer. The UE error means Unballanced Error. This error comes up in two cases: 1. the load is distributed unevenly in the drum or 2. the machine is not properly set on an even surface (floor).
Of course, it could be a third case possible, but very unlikely, when the ballance sensor itself is malfunctioning and have to be replaced, or the spring and dampers are worn out and also have to be replaced.

Hope it helped!

Best regards

If you have the capability its probably a leaking seal on the water input line at thetop of the water. Often its a simple hoseclamp that needs tightening. Without looking myself thats the easiest solution. Hope this helps!

My LG front load washer is leaking during the rinse cycle. I cleaned the filter and it is still leaking. What should I do?

Leakage can be a few things..Check the door boot seal for any small rips, next the fill hoses are the watertight, next drain hose , now under the machine is the pump ok, Last assuming all hoses are ok has the drum a hole in it...good luck

your valve is not closing or your cycle isn't reading correctly. there should have been a diagnostic read process that should have came with the machine. if not you may have to end up buying a new drian assembly
