Some electrical wholesale houses may carry it. You can get it at grainger's for sure. But you may have to call them to get the cross reference number. or go to their website and look.

2005 Aprilaire 700 humidifier. Replaced a non-working circuit board. Now, the humidifier works fine when the furnace is running. It starts and stops as it should based on humidistat setting. Problem: ...

It sounds like it is just miswired. The low voltage wiring off the humidistat should be on W and C on the circ. board at the furnace. If you have it on R and C then it will power it constantly regardless if the heat is running or not. W is only energized on a call for heat which is typically when you want that type of humidifier to run

Humidifier doesn't work

Hello, if there is water to the solenoid valve but not passing through it than the solenoid valve is malfunctioning and must be replaced. However, if there is no water at the solenoid valve then either the saddle valve or supply line is clogged with sediment. A easy way to chek the solenoid valve is apply power directy to the solenoid valve from the transformer, if it does not open then replace it.

Water is continually feeding humidifier even when furnace is not running

I would recommend that you shut off water supply and remove solenoid valve.Disassemble valve and clean it making sure that there is nothing stopping the valve from fully closing. If you can not find any problem after cleaning then reassemble and leave the outlet connection loose.Turn on furnace and see if the valve is even trying to close. If not then you need to replace the solenoid valve. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Solenoid valve will not shut when the furnace is off

Most likely you have crud buildup in the solenoid valve. But first make sure that you test accross the solenoid connections for voltage when the furnace is OFF. Put your meter to AC volts and see if you see 24 Volts when furnace is ON and 0 Volts when furnace is OFF. If you get those readings then you need to replace your solenoid valve.
Available from mfg for about $55-60
or on ebay for about $40 shipped.

If the above tests fail, you will need to ensure that the wiring is correct and not shorted, but is probably your valve. Install a fridge water filter in the water line to help prevent this in the future.

My honeywell humidifier is using water at 2 gallons an hour

Furnace mounted humidifiers "should" be wired so that they are only running when the furnace blower is on. When the furnace is off so should the humidifier. If it is wired proper, it is possible that you have a bad solenoid valve. It could be stuck in the on position. If it is bad these valves can be expensive. If your humidifier is newer, fix it. If it is old you are probably better off to just buy a whole new unit.
Good luck

I am guessing you have sent 24 volts to the solenoid directly and the the solenoid did not activate?

If you have not send power directly

If the solenoid does not activate that way more then likely needs a new solenoid.

No water going to furnace humidifier

The furnace should be equipped with a #50 relay to turn the Humidifier on and off when only when the furnace blower is on. You should have a test mode on your humidistat. Do you have water coming up to the solenoid valve? Make sure that the saddle valve is turned on to supply the water to the humidifier. Is your humidistat set high enough to turn the humidifier on? Is it plugged in?

Honeywell HE225 Humidifier will not draw water

Check for 24volts at the valve. Some techs install these so it only comes on when the furnace calls for heat. It should have its own transformer.

Aprilaire 760 Humidifier water continues to run

You need to determine whether the problem is in the solenoid or in the furnace electronics. You could put a voltmeter on the solenoid connection to see if the furnace is still holding the solenoid open after the blower stops. This will tell you whether it is the solenoid or not.
