LG 2542T goes dark after showing "analog power saving mode" message

That's it in a nutshell. It just goes dark and gives me this message, "analog power saving mode". I can turn it off with the power switch and back on and I get the same message again and it goes dark again. Neither the mouse nor keystrokes can bring it back. This monitor is brand new as is the computer. (In fact, it is the third new computer we've had in two weeks! The other two Dells had Intel graphics driver problems.) This aggravation is quickly aging this grandma.

If it is saying analog signal power saving... I am wondering do you have it hooked into you computer with the white DVI cable?

Is there an option on your monitor to switch modes? Analog-Digital? If you are using the white DVI cable to hook into your computer, try to switch your display screen to "digital" input mode if possible.

Many auto detect the signal, but it almost seems as if yours either is not, or there may be something wrong in your computer (perhaps your display adapter isnt set correctly?).

I hope that this has helped to solve your problem, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you. Good luck!

I would say that it doesn't see any signal coming from the computer. Check your output. Check the video drivers. Try another video display.

My main home computer whener turned on goes to analog powersaving

LG does not show the 1750 monitor on their web site. It did show some discontinued monitors including a 1752, but there was no information available about them.

Another LG site said to use the far right bottom to auto adjust....for another monitor.

My HP has four buttons, MENU, <, >, and Return (also AUTO). Menu opens the monitor dialog box, with the arrow bottoms shifting through the menu. Select an item with return, then arrow to your selection, menu is also your exit button.

You may have a power saving selection here.

Also check the control panel for the POWER OPTIONS properties. A power scheme selection here will also change the mode of your monitor.

good luck

My LG flatiron W1943TB turns on, says analog power saving mode, goes black and then the power button flashes.. but the monitor is hooked up to my dell notebook bc my LCD died

Hi erin mckinle,
That is probably it's, uh, analog power saving mode. When the screen goes black and the power button flashes, make some mouse gestures or hit some keys that would not affect anything (try spacebar). That should bring up the screen. If you think it goes into power saving mode too fast, go to Control Panel --> Power Options, and change the values. Hope this helps.

"Analog going into power saving mode" when I try to play a game.

Most of these kinds of problems are created by using the different version than the current version of your video card driver.

Check your video card company's website and download the specific video card driver for your devide's ID and It should resolve the proble,

If you do not have a display then restart to safe mode, right click on the desktop, choose Properties, Settings then Power Saving. The options for Power Saving mode are displayed. Steve Medley
