hi! first when we buy this scanner and we bring to my country and when we try never works i'll test the wire and adapter but its ok but never open and the warranty of this product is only limited that's why.

CANNOT CONNECT EXCEPT ONCE IN A WHILE COMPUTER HAS HARD TIME RECOGNIZING SCANNER WIRE HOOKUPS OK
