Question about Sony GPS
The first thing to solve is the loss of coolant. Fixing a radio in a car that you're not going to put money into fixing is throwing money away. Coolant loss can be a result of something as simple as a loose clamp on one of the hoses between the radiator and engine, or engine and heater core. That would be the simple DIY repair. You could have a water pump, heater core or radiator that is leaking - this will likely require replacement of the item leaking. These can be relatively expensive repairs (between $100 to $500 or more) to complete.
It is also possible that the head gasket has failed or engine block has cracked. This can be a very expensive ($400 and up) repair. You should check the oil dipstick. If you can see coolant mixed in with the oil or if it is milky - white in appearance, it indicates that the coolant has mixed with the oil. These two systems (lubrication and cooling) are isolated from each other, and should never mix. An additional check is to run the engine as usual - at least up to normal operating temperature - and while idling - look for steam exiting the exhaust pipe. This would also help to confirm a gasket or engine block failure.
Park the car in a location at night that has a relatively "blemish free" appearance. If it is too spotty - slip cardboard or something under the engine compartment instead. This can help you identify the location of where the leak is originating.
Hopefully this is a good starting point for you - good luck!
