If you have one of the rotary-type, non- adjustable carbs, you may have to install a diaghram kit or rebuild kit as the fuel pump diaghram may need replacing.....otherwise....you may only need to "tweak" the H-speed adjustment screw on this carb. If so, here is how Zama says to do it:
http://www.zamacarb.com/tipspage.html
The tool used to adjust these carbs can be found on Ebay and is less than $10 if you don't rig one by your own methods.
Here is an application list from Zama so you may know what diaghram and/or rebuild kit to install.
http://www.zamacarb.com/pdfs/APPL_CR2010.pdf
Here is a cross reference to the carb's kits:
http://www.zamacarb.com/pdfs/QuickKit_CR2010.pdf
RB is complete rebuild kit and GND is gasket and diaghram kit.

I suggest cleaning the carburetor and replacing the diaphrams. The diaphrams come with a rebuild kit that has a lot of unused parts.

Chain saw quits at full throttle unless it is half choked

Check the fuel filter for plugging. Has the H jet needle been changed? If so, turn it CCW until the engine 4-strokes at speed with no load, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Make sure you have fresh fuel mix in the tank. Hope this helps!

I HAVE A ECHO POLE SAW PRUNER. 25.4CC ENGINE. IT STARTS AND RUNS, BUT IT MUST BE CHOKED ABOUT 1/2 WAY. OR IT WILL STALL, IT HAS NO POWER, IT WAS LIKE THIS WHEN NEW. PURCHASED IN 07. TRY TO USE IT EVERY...

Inspect the jet screw (H and L) heads to see if the have slot heads or are 'D' heads which must be adjusted by a service dealer. Make sure to have fresh fuel mix with modern synthetic saw oil in the tank (50:1 ratio). Be sure to shake the container thoroughly each time just before adding fuel to the tank to prevent oil starvation. Inspect the fuel filter and air cleaner for plugging. Also, check the fuel line for decay or other problems. With slot-headed jet screws, turn both CW to stops (lightly), then turn each out CCW 1-1/2 turns. Start the engine and allow to warm up, then pull the throttle full on and turn H needle CW until the engine starts to speed up, but still 4-stroking. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW so that the engine idles fairly well, but will still 'follow the throttle'. If the chain is trying to turn at idle, turn the idle speed adjustment screw CCW until the chain stops trying to move. Hope this helps!

Starts and idles will not run above idle unless choked. Have cleaned carb multiple times new fuel filter new air cleaner and cleaned exhaust screen new plug. Maybe a collapsing fuel line?

Hi,
Have you tried adjusting the carb? There should be two screws on the carb (hi & Low) turn the hi screw completely until it stops and then start the unit. Let it warm up and then begin to back the screw out until it starts to run smoothly but strong. Once you have it running then put it in full run position (choke) and you should be good.
Good luck!

Engine stalls after acceleration - Start fine, idles fine, but won't run at full speed. Engine dies when throttle is engaged more than half-way. Fuel filter is ok, air filter has been cleaned.

Sounds like its not "un-choking" it self, that its running like its still choked like you wold at initial start up.

Disassemble it and see if u can pysically see the activation and deactivation of the choke when u apply them.

While u are at it, also make sure:

Gas is fresh?

MIx is right?

Plug is good?

Chain brake mechanism is released.?

Good luck.
