My GE double oven displays a message to set probe. When I press probe it prompts me to input a code (3 dashes)? Can you provide via e-mail what numbers can be used to set probe?

It is asking for the temperature that you want the meat to be. Example if you want your meat to have a medium doneness then usually it is 150F. You would enter 150. The probe will beep when the meat has reached that temperature

I have a Jenn Air JJW9830DDP double oven electric, and the temperature in the oven is about 100' less than what it reads on the display. I tested the temp sensor and it ready 1073 ohms. Any s

Well, your temp sensors can still be bad. If not, there's always a new control board you buy!

However, I wouldn't drink water from that oasis without making ABSOLUTELY sure I'm not seeing a mirage.

The only common denominators between your upper and lower oven temp readings is the firmware and the oven thermometer you are using to visually check the temps.
What type of thermometer are you using to check your oven temperatures with?
If it's not a digital thermometer used specifically for testing ovens, you might just be leading leading yourself astray.
You need a calibrated thermometer. If I don't have a calibrated digital thermometer on me, I use two or three oven thermometers (the dial type) and average the readings.
It's the only way to be as close as possible with a digital probe.

If you have thoroughly verified that your oven is in fact not reading the correct temperature, then you can adjust it +/- 35 degrees F via your oven's control panel.
To adjust the oven temperature:
1 - Press Setup pad.
2 - Select the down arrow to scroll to the next screen.
3 - Select Temp Adjust using the Quickset pads.
4 - Select upper or lower oven (select models).
-"Set temperature offset using the Upper Set Knob" is displayed.
5 - Enter the desired temperature change using the Set knob.
The temperature can be increased or decreased up to 35 degrees.
The temp. change is displayed at the top of the window.
6 - Press the Set knob to accept the change.

Now, if you are still worried about the temp. reading being off, replace both the upper and lower temp sensors. That's all you can do besides replace the main board.

Temp probe indicator stays on

sounds like your probe connection may be shorted. Can you inspect the probe itself, and perhaps do a test for continuity with an ohm meter? Also, you might be able to disable the probe in the menu settings, and run it on manual, just for a test.

Do you still have the user's manual for this unit?

Every fault code I am able to find concerning F-4 period has to do with bad oven sensor. This is the probe coming through the wall inside the oven to read oven temp and to regulate it. Hope this helps. Rick

326B1230P001 GE Double oven that displays ?F7? and beeps

I have a GE JT950 double oven that just did the same thing: F7 and beeps like crazy. I found solution on another post: an engineer figured out how to solve the issue without calling GE or buying parts. I just did it tonight and it worked fine. Here is a copy of the post:

Send an e-mail to Charlie at hutchipop@yahoo.com for a fix-it that you can try. He explains a possible solution fully with his 'The Dreaded "F7" Error' solution. I actually found his information on another website when I did a web search for "GE Profile Oven F7 Issue". I sent an e-mail to him and he replied with free fix-it information. I am not a repair person myself, but, his instructions are very clear and simple to follow. I did the fix-it at no cost in approximately 10 minutes and it has solved my problem

F7 error message on GE oven

Send an e-mail to Charlie at hutchipop@yahoo.com for a fix-it that you can try. He explains a possible solution fully with his 'The Dreaded "F7" Error' solution. My oven is also a JT950 and the builder installed it in our home back in 2000. Our F7 issue started about 2 years ago. For a few months, "clearing" the panel and/or shutting the oven off at the breaker panel would temporarily solve the problem. About 1 1/2 year ago, however, the F7 would come on and continually beep. A repairman looked at the oven and replaced the control panel at a cost of $600 (ugh...). That solved the problem until a month ago when the F7 continuous beeping began again. There was no way I was going to pay another $600. for "temporary" repair and I was thinking of replacing the oven. Luckily, I came across the above-mentioned fix-it information and took a chance by following the simple instructions provided.
