Question about GPS
Without knowing how old the battery(s) in the remote are, I would suggest that to be the first thing to replace. It is relatively easy and inexpensive to do - and could solve the problem.
You can attempt to pry the remote apart to access the battery(s) after removing the remote from the keyring, or bring it to a Batteries Plus store (or a hardware store) where an employee can replace it for you.
Beyond that, you'll probably have to return to the place of installation of the starter to resolve the issue. A phone call to the installer may be able to solve the problem over the phone instead of having to go there.
