Your are in Hibernation mode. Hold the power button down for at least five seconds and then remove external power and then your battery. Re install your battery and attach external power and power back on. You should be alright after that.

This is a know issue with some laptop models running either Windows XP or Vista.

Hope this has helped or fixed ya.

The lines on the screen happen when you overheat it... i've seen it alot with laptops people actually put ON THEIR LAP... this is bad... it's fine for a few minutes, but running like that for too long will fry your screen... try getting a cooling fan for underneath...

My averatec series 3200 notebook cant detect my usb device

The flash disk could be faulty, especially when it draws too much power, and this will cause the USB ports to shut down and the other USB devices won't work until the faulty device is removed.

My averatec 7100 series laptop don't work. you turn the power on and the lights come on but you don't hear nothing and the screen is black.

I have the same problem with one of my 7100's I can get the screen to come on if I hold the delete key when powering on.Sometimes takes more than one try... and doesn't fix the problem. F2 will take you to the BIOS to see if it is detecting your hard drive. Hope this helps....
