Either charger or battery is bad, first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, then if one of them is not showing at least 12 volts then that is what is bad, you can order a new one here www.powerwheelsoutlet.com

SOURCE: peg perego gator grinding noise?

The Peg Perego Gearbox is the item that would make a clicking noise or grinding noise.
There are two different types.
One is a cross shape and another is a pentagon shape.
If you contact the folks at http://www.shopjandl.com/ they will be able to tell you what type you need. I get all my parts from them because they help me figure the problems out.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: where is the battery located

Ours has the battery behind the front bumper. There are tabs on either side in wheel wells to release the front end panel and it pivots downward to access the battery compartment.

SOURCE: Our son's peg perego john deere gator stopped

It is most likely the Gearbox, it is easy to find and easy to replace. It is right under the gear shifter and is a "harness" with wires that will need replaced, if you call the tech support for Peg Perego they are very helpful and will get you on the right track. Your old battery is most likely fine, but keep it until you fix the gearbox switch. Afterward (when gator is again operational) I would imagine you could return the new battery since you really should not need it. Peg Perego support is 1800-728-2108 and you can also look for parts at www.mypegperegoparts.com

Charged the battery and gator does not move or make noise?

it might be a bad switch problem. As long as the battery does have power, then I would think it would be the peg perego switches you can contact the repair department at 1.801.655.0800 and ask them, or you can get them at http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-peg-perego-switches-and-shifters.html
hope this helps
