Have printer that I changed the ink cartridges & now will not print. The green on light is blinking.
I changed both the color and black/white cartridges. I then went to update printer software. would not accept software and printer is not working and green light continues to blink. I don't have the CD-rom to reinstall printer to computer.
Hi
I check the manual you have 2 light on your printer
1.Power light
2.Paper light
Incase if its a power light and blink twice then you've problem with carriage..maybe not worth repalcing it.Recommend to go for a new one
Incase itf its a paper light then you didn't put in paper.Put some paper for the printer to see coz it have a paper sensor that detect the preset of paper.
Do let me know that your problem is solve or not.I post the website that you can download manual and also driver.
First uninstall the printer completely if you havnt already. Then download the software from here. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&dlc=en&product=217379&# this should reinstall the drivers properly for you. If this fails, sometimes inside the device manager under the properties for the specific printer, you can "roll back" the driver to a previous working driver. If this fails, you can sometimes use "system restore" to restore your system's configuration to a previous date's settings.
Since replacing and reseating the cartridges has mad no difference in the problem, then the issue may be the carrier guides are dirty. With a soft dry cloth, try cleaning any bars the cartridge carrier rides one.
If that doesn't resolve, then due to the age of the printer, I'd recommend replacing it.

Epson printer blinking different lights. The different lights blinking has different meaning and solutions. When the Epson printer red light blinking that means ink cartridge of your printer is out of ink. And when your printer green light blinking that means paper gets jammed inside the printer.
You can fix the Epson printer lights blinking error using following steps:
·Fix the paper jammed ·Check empty or damaged ink cartridge ·Clean the dirty print head or replace missing or failed print head
When the green lamp constantly blinking this mean one or both print head are defective. Here we can find which cartridge is defective.Open cover put out color cartridge then close cover. If blinking stops replace color cartridge. If blinking continues put out black cartridge and put in color. If blinking stops replace black cartridge, if not stop replace both cartridges. This printer can work with only one cartridge. If you don't use color printing just remove the color cartridge.

The Amber light is designated as the "Ink Error" light. With regards to a Hewlett Packard printer, the Amber light is indicating that one of the Ink Cartridges (Tri-Color/Black) is empty, defective, unrecognizable, or just simply needs to be changed. The procedure is; lift up the front cover, look at the Black Ink Cartridge, and examine the Ink Level Window on the Cartridge, located at the center of the Cartridge. If the square window appears to be a solid Green then that means the cartridge is completely full. If it is Half Green/Half Black then it is indicating that the cartridge is half way full, and if the square window is completely Black, then the cartridge is completely empty. Also, remove and examine the Tri-Color Cartridge. If the Tri-Color Cartridge feels very light or if the Tri Colors on the bottom of the Cartridge appear to be discolored i.e. All Magenta, All Cyan, or All Yellow, then the Cartridge should immediately be changed. After replacing the Black or Tri-Color Cartridge, your printers Green Power Light will flash and allow you to continue your print job
You can also try: Clean the cartridge and carriage contacts with a cotton swab moistened with water. If you have refilled the cartridges don't assume that they will still work. If cleaning doesn't help you may have a failed cartridge even if it is not refilled. If you are getting a grinding noise, clean the carriage rod with alcohol and lubricate it with a few drops of Tri-Flow, available in 2 oz. squeeze bottles at cycle shops.

The Amber light is designated as the "Ink Error" light. With regards to a 960C Hewlett Packard or almost any inkjet printer, the Amber light is indicating that one of the Ink Cartridges (Tri-Color/Black) is empty, defective, unrecognizable, or just simply needs to be changed. The procedure is; lift up the front cover, look at the Black Ink Cartridge, and examine the Ink Level Window on the Cartridge, located at the center of the Cartridge. I also started having problems with my HP 870Cse when I began using refilled cartridges and had ink leakage (cartridge contacts corrupted). Check for this problem. If so, remove cartridges and gently clean the spillage. Then try using HP brand cartridges and see if this doesn't remedy the problem.
The light you describe is the ink light. When that light is blinking, try this.
Turn on the printer. Open the front cover and look at the carrier for the ink cartridges. There is a white arrow right above the latch for the color cartridge. Once the carrier stops moving, the white arrow should be pointing to a symbol which represents the problem (the reason the light is blinking.) Examples are low ink black, low ink color, sick black ( replace ) , sick color ( replace ).
IF you have just replaced your black cartridge, you might need to replace your color cartridge too. This printer will not work without both ink cartridges installed and full. You cant print with a full black and an empty color cartridge unfortunately, even if you only want to print black.
Hi Greenhorn,
Your info is slightly conflicting - I think.
As I remember the C60 has just 2 LED's:
1 - Green for Power
2 - Red for Error
The third button - Cartridge exchange - has no LED
Now it is a while since I looked at a C60 and my brain leaks like a sieve, but that's the way I remember it and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
The error codes I remember are:
Printer status - Indicators - Priority
Power - Error
Power ON condition On -
Ink sequence Blink -
Ink Cartridge change mode Blink -
Data processing Blink -
Paper Out *1 - On
Paper jam condition *1 - On
Ink end (Black) *1 - On -> Blink
Ink level low (Black) - Blink-> Blink
Ink end (Color) *1 - On -> Blink2
Ink level low (Color) - Blink-> Blink2
Ink end (Black and Color) - On -> On
No Ink Cartridge (Black or Color) *1 - On
Maintenance request (Ink Overflow Countererror) *1 Alt Blink Alt Blink
Fatal error *1 Off On
Special setting Blink2 Blink2
