Question about Troy-Bilt 31cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Blower/Vacuum #TB320BV

1 Answer

My Troy -Bilt TB320BV will not start. I have had this problem of hard starting since day one. The blower is about two years old and has been used very little because of this problem. I am getting very disgusted and thinking about trashing it. I paid big bucks thinking I was getting a quality blower. I am highly dissatisfied. Do you have any suggestions other than trashing it and buying another brand? Thanks, Bill

I am going with the assumption that this is a fuel delivery problem. Due to the lengthy amount of info for adjusting the carburetor, I would like for you to read this and try it. A simple adjustment to the carb may be all it needs to start properly.I understand that some other things could be out of sorts too, but we have to start somewhere and this is it:

Your carb has adjusting needles probably like the ones in the bottom picture and you will need the special tool or jewelers needle nose pliars to access them.

Troy bilt blowr td320bv will not start. It is only 1 month old

If fuel is running out the carb then the diaghram is stiff and holding the needle open, or a piece of debris is stuck in the needle holding it open.
Either way the carb needs rebuilt.
In the future; when storing the unit; empty all fuel from the tank and start the unit and let it run the fuel out of the carb. Store it dry if its going to sit more than 30 days without being used.

Tb320bv blower, I can set the choke and start it but it will not run. As soon as the choke pops off during acceleration the blower dies.

This would indicate that you need a new diaphram in the carby not very expensive any mower shop will do for about $30

Troy bilt tb320bv 31cc gas blower starts and runs if it is flat on the ground but as soon as it is picked up it quits. have pulled the carb off and cleaned it. any ideas?

inside the fuel tank you will see a flexible fuel line with a filter attached to the end ... that filter acts as a weight to position the fuel line in the lowest part of the tank no matter what postion the blower is in ... make sure the fuel line isnt broken .. also make sure the filter is still attached .. you can replace the fuel line and filter but both have to be able to handle achohol (in the gas) .. most of the older fuel lines cant and they go bad in a short time .. its actually hard to find the correct fuel line ... the size is not usually a problem but the material its made of has to say its suitable for modern gas .. most i found at local shops are the old type and wont work ..

Troy bilt tb320bv wont start. only two months old.he cord won't pull out completely like it used to and it won't let me start the thing any longer. It is like something is jammed in the system.

It seems to be a usual problem with troy bilt trimmers and leaf blowers. There should be a half moon piece of keystock that holds the flywheel on,sometimes its known to sheer off. Could also be one of the keepers that hold back the plastic disk for the cord comes loose,it gets in a bind. Either way,you have to open up the case and see whats going on.
