Turntable wont turn the power is on and when i lift the arm to the record the turntable does not spin. ive tried this at each speed and still no result. the record player itself is new.

If it is a belt driven model it might have fallen off. If you lift up the turntable matt it should show a hole to view the belt. If the belt is good, it could be that a switch is not engaging when the arm moves out to the record, if it is the type that starts when the arm is placed on the record.
Since it is new, you should probably return for refund or exchange.
My guess would be it is the micro switch controlled by the arm.
Make sure the power is turned on and the unit's function selection is set on PHONO and then gently move the tone arm to the right until you hear a "click". Remove any cassettes that might be in the cassette player. Lift the tone arm and carry it over to the beginning of the record.
Hi, most likely the auto function needs resetting. With the power off turn the platter manually clockwise a dozen or so times. Power up and play. Cheers john.
Have you checked all the fuses or circuit breakers on the jukebox?
Are all the power supply led's lit?
Make sure that all the connection plugs into the boards are fully seated and making good connections.
After checking the above if the fault remains you will need to contact a Wurlitzer service engineer.
Your turntable is belt-driven, it's likely that the belt just fell off. The belt lives under the turntable. On my turntable (a totally different model) the turntable lifts off.
