SOURCE: the pin on my Dewalt

Hello, W/D here.

The better way is to disconnect the air line from the gun, and place several drops of light oil in the gun while holding the trigger down. Oil daily. Then, re-connect the hose, and fire a few nails into scrap wood.
Another trick is to spray your nails with WD-40 before you load them into the gun.

SOURCE: My DC616 a straight 16 gauge DeWalt finish nailer

Argh...

Had the same problem, but only after about 4-5 nails. Once it jammed 4 times in a row - very frustrating.

I read the manual, took the unit apart, checked the driver - it was straight. I took a file and filed the back end of the driver down a bit so it would miss the second nail and so far it seems to be working famously.

Great unit...

look at the end where the nail comes out . it should be flush across , if the plunger is sticking out then push it back in with a flat screw driver and try again.soft wood quite often lets the nail shoot to far

2kd-ftv engine problem p1226 fuel line malfunction

Possible causes of the P1226 code include:
  • Faulty electric throttle control actuator, throttle position sensor 2
  • Faulty throttle control actuator harness is open or shorted, throttle position sensor 2
  • Electric throttle control actuator circuit has poor electrical connection, throttle position sensor 2
To nail down the exact cause of the code, do a visual inspection for lose wires and connections at the sensor, or damage to the sensor body itself. If no problems with the wiring and connections are detected, a worn/damaged electric throttle control actuator is likely at fault. Signs of a bad throttle control actuator include erratic acceleration, and unresponsive throttle, and poor fuel economy.

How do i replace the driver blade in a Dewalt DC616 finish nailer?

I believe the manual has a whole section on how to remove it and replace it.

You will probably have to buy a whole driver/return mechanism.

Dewalt dc618 nailer is not firing

I have both the DC616 and 618 and have used them sucessfully for about three years. Two main things go wrong. There is a drive belt that breaks (drives the spool that give the energy to drive in the nails), second are two small rubber bands on either side of the drive head that break. The bands can be accessed by taking off the front silver cover, the drive belt is access by spliting the case. Make sure you are using the correct nails or the drive pin may become bent and will jamb repeatedly. Hope that helps!
