Question about KitchenAid Architect Series KEBC107KSS Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

Hi, Don't know if you can help me but I have a question. My oven model KitchenAid kebc107kss04 is displaying a temperature that is higher than is measured in the oven with a manual thermometer while baking. The deviation is not constant. it various between 75 - 35 degrees less than is read out on the display. The higher the temperature is set on the oven the lower the deviation is. Don't know if I should replace the temperature probe or the PC board/ electrical panel. Any suggestions?

This a 50 % problem of the probe and 50% problem of the PC board. It excactly as you figure it out.
the correct procedure in any case is to proceed first with the probe test for a couple of days and then if no diference you should replace the PC Board.
In this you dont loose anything since in the second case for a new PC Board then it is recomented to have a new probe also.

My Kitchenaid Oven doesn't allow me to set a temperature higher that 350 degrees. Electric oven. For example, i will punch in 425 and the panel will default back the temperature to 350.

350 will be the design max for your oven unless the handbook says for your model is higher rated and is faulty
repair or replace with a higher rated temp oven

My kitchenaid temperature probe won't turn off

If you mean the probe icon will not leave the display, you need to be sure the probe jack is not coated with food residue that is grounding it, if it is clean- send the control in for rebuild. Help Me Find My Model Number RepairClinic com

Hello,

There should be a plus/minus sign OR a up/down arrow to adjust the temp.on the control/touch panel. The default setting is usually 350 and can adjusted up or down accordingly, the display starts at 120 and is supposed to rise as temp. increases.
The bigger issue though is to have it serviced and see why it doesnt rise above 200

Oven control lock beeping along with F3:E4 flashing on the display

Hi-- The code described; F3 E4  indicates an open circuit- oven sensor.  As far as oven problems go this one is easy to fix. -------Unplug sensor and check resistance. Normal is around 1100ohms. ---If open, then replace with new part.  <This will solve the problem>.  You did not provide any other information besides 'beeping' and 'F3:E4'.  A simple Model # from the tag on unit is required for any service or information.  However, since this is a specific fault code, the oven temperature sensor is the most likely suspect. Please acknowledge this post. Solution is to replace the oven temperature sensor.  Thanks-  Ed

KitchenAidKEBS107: NO HEAT after power failure during self clean

Thermostat on the back needs replacement. The problem is caused by overheating the oven. Improper installation or inadequate blower. Depending on the model, the oven might need a new blower in addition to the thermostat. Try calling KitchenAid to find out if the oven needs that blower and get the part number for the thermostat, they might have replaced it with the one with higher temperature rating.

OVEN will not heat

KitchenAid KEBC107KSS does not heat hot enough and does not heat evenly. When the temperature is dialed higher, it burns the cookies. When the convection fan is on, it has a 'cooling effect' so the temperature never reaches the proper level. Is this problem repairable? Or is this a thermostat issue? Thank you for your help!
