Just installed a 30,000 btu Mr Heater blue flame heater last night, worked perfectly. This morning the flames and pilot light are burning mostly orange. What could be causing this.

That is a bad air/fuel mix... could be anything like clogged orifice or just needs to be adjusted.

Check out your warranty support first... and keep in mind poorly burning gas appliance can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

Consider putting in carbon gas detectors in addition to a liberal sprinkling of smoke detectors!!

Be safe

Fridge worked fine on gas last night but won't today.. Gas is at cook top

Gas refrigerators work off a small flame. That flame heats a part some call a thermocouple. Over time that part goes bad. Also Propane produces a carbon like soot. It sometimes blocks the small hole the gas flows through. May just need cleaned near the flame area.

Propane smell. When you light the oven and turn it off, the burner does not go completely off. Burns at a low yellow flame and sootie. Caused a co issue last night.

Probably a bad solenoid valve. Cut off the source before replacing the solenoid valve. Use caution, if you are not sure hire a professional.

I suppose you could have got hold of some bad disks.
Apparently the burner works as the HP disk turned out OK. Might be telling you something about the other brand!

I have a 50k Kero Reddi Heater. Been using it for years. The last two nights it doesn't get real hot and stinks to hight Heaven. The flame is burning good though. Took air filter off while...

Yes, the fuel line could be obstructed or a dirty fuel filter. The air intake and lint filters could also need cleaning. Don't rule out contaminated kerosene too.

If you have misplaced your Owners Manual, send me the model number of your heater and I'll send you the Owners Manual w/Troubleshooting Guide.

Look for a small hole or two in the part the pilot flame comes out of. These may be partly blocked. They allow air to mix with the gas for the pilot.

Poor burn

Poor Burn :

Passenger in a fighter jet might say this if he's disappointed in the amount of G-Force encountered when the after burners are engaged.

An Arcenist might say this after he set the house and fire and it went out before it burned to the ground.

You'd say that if your dog was named Burn and you felt sorry for him.

You might say this if your computer just went up in flames but the motherboard was still left intact.

I have a problem with my heating system. It is about 10 years old and has had the ignitor, combustion blower motor, and programable thermostat replace in it's lifetime. The system worked great last year....

sounds like its not proofing flame. it has a sensor usually like a needle sticks out into the flame that tells the gas valve the flame lit and is burning so its ok to keep sending gas, if its fails to proof flame then burner shuts down, then it tries to relight 3 times then locks out on fail safe. the blower will sometimes run continually once that occurs to highlight a failed condition. every time you reset it will try again 3 times then shut down. lp gas is very dangerous, even i do not work on it as the gas acts like gasoline and lays around. not like natural gas that disperses well. if you see the flame sensor try gently cleaning it with a little emory cloth. also a loose ground can cause this. check tio be sure any green wires are snug , they actually flow volts to ground through the flame on some to proof, thats why no ground no flame. if that fails then the board is most likely problem. change wire for wire , or get generic replacemant and follow directions exactly. good luck.some ignitors act as a flamre proofer as soon as they are done igniting! rarely do they fail to perform both funtions.
