Last week I turned the TV on it was dark(light was blue) but there was sound. This was on the DVI setting so I check on the component and the same condition existed. I shut the TV and tried it again a few hours and it was fine then the next time it was black again and hasn't worked since(from a picutre stand point) thoughts

Re: screen is black but there is sound
It is possible that the backplane lamps and or the ballast supply is in failure. It is also possible that the main power supply is having a fault condition, or there is some other area that is shorting and causing part of the power supply to go in to protect mode.
The set should be checked out by a service tech who knows the set, and has the necessary resources to service it.

That clearly sounds like you have an audio/video board failure in the unit. I have seen Sony $2,000.00 dollar TV's do the same. The fact your getting Blue backgroung lighting is indicative that the panel is putting out light and you do have good power board connection. As a final test connect a dvd player to the inputs and see if you get the DVR screen display if negative get the TV replaced since it is only a week old. I was a Sony Field engineer for a year on all TV models.
Hold down the Menu and Menu up/scroll (+) buttons simultaneously on the Apple Remote for 6 seconds.
TV will cycle through all of the available resolutions, displaying each for about 15 seconds. Please wait, as it may take up to 2 minutes before a compatible resolution is found. If the display is incorrect or doesn't show up, keep waiting while TV continues to try and find a compatible resolution.
When a picture appears on the screen, navigate to OK with the remote and press the Select/Play/Pause button.
If you think you selected the wrong resolution, repeat these steps again. TV works much better in HD resolutions such as 720p or 1080i. You should choose the 'best' resolution your TV supports.
If HDMI or DVI connections are available on your TV, you can use them instead of component video to avoid this process
When the picture is dark, show a torch light on the screen from a safe distance. If you can see the picture, the backlight is the problem. Anyhow, it is better to show it to a qualified service technician.
Same thing happened to me. I turned TV off. Then turned it back on holding down both On button & Source button & got the picture back. Doesn't fix it for good. But when it happens, I "fix" it the same way. Happened twice in last three weeks, I'd say. Better than junking it for now.
If the screen is black and you have sound then lightly press and shine a strong flashlight against the screen. If you see an image around the edge of the flashlight, an image is being 'displayed'. The problem is probably in the Inverter/CCFT or the power going to the Inverter.
I have had the same problem with my daughters Olevia...232-S13 out of the blue ti just decides to not turn on...blue light lit where the on/off button located but no sound and no picture....i guess the saying "you get what you pay for" stands clear here.......very upsetting.....
Not sure if you have fixed your problem or not. When I hook up my pc to the ILO 32 HD...I ran DVI input for picture...you can also use HDMI if you like..I had a problem with sound and had to use a splitter and run sound into AV2 IN to get sound for some reason...your no picture...if you are getting a black screen, you need to set the resolution on your pc. VGA to 640x480 and SVGA should be 800x600 and XGA should set at 1024x768..most likely the last one is the one you need..and this is not a normal pc res....set your refresh rate to 60HZ. All this is done in the control panel/display/settings tab.
Also remember that you need to change your source on the TV to the proper connection to see it...ie component, HDMI etc.
