How do you take apart Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 5000. I unscrewed all the screws, even the one hidden under the Health Warning sticker and it's still as solid as a rock!

That keyboard has more screws hiding than you can imagine. There are more hidden on the bottom, under the instruction sticker, the product id label, and under every little foam rectangle (4 feet and one random). 18 total on bottom. Then you need to take off the palm rest (9) and the Quick key bar (8) on the top and you will find more. Under the top, they are again hidden under little stickers. All in all, it was easy to put back together, but I would recommend you try the other solution first. I mostly had a mini-vendetta against mine and refused to let it win :)

Had the same problem only with apple juice!
I did the same thing, took out all the screws and still nothing, couldn't get apart for nothing.
So, I took a Q-tip and dabbed it in rubbing alcohol and ran it around the edge of the sticky key and let it penetrate around the key while working the key up and down and guess what, it worked like a charm. I used alcohol as it will evaporate itself over a very short period of time. don't use much though, just a little will get the job done.

Mouse got o.j. in it, right and left click work, scroll hardly moves because sticky juice dried, don't know how to open mouse other than batteries

There will either be hidden screws. Those will usually be under a sticker or a teflon pad, or there are just retainer clips holding it together. If that is the case, you'll need a few very tiny tiny screw drivers. These will likely leave some marks wherever you attempt to pry apart the device. There's also the possiblity that there is glue involved. Look carefully in the battery compartment for any potential hidden screws! They like to hide them in there too.
Good luck!

Taking Apart the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000

There are two hidden screws under the two stickers on the back of the keyboard. Just feel around for slight indentations and stick your screwdriver bit down into it and unscrew. Keep in mind though, this may void your warranty.

Comfort curve keyboard 2000v1.0, key A does not respond

Mine does the same thing only sometimes the keys work, then hours later they decide to stop working.

It's a pain in the **** but if you take out all the screws, take the top cover off then put it back on, for some reason the keys start working again.

The problem will come back though. I'm considering keeping the screws out so I can just pop it apart whenever the keys stop working again.

Microsoft wireless keyboard 3000

Once I take the keyboard apart, and brush off the 3 plastic layers underneath the keyboard, it works fine.
There are 14 screws on the back that you need to remove, a couple of them are hidden underneath warning / instruction stickers so you have to feel for them and cut the stickers off with a knife.
