Without knowing your geographical location, I would suggest going to the large chain stores for service: Best Buy & Circuit City come to mind.

The TV does not power up. Power is getting through the cord but nothing happens within the set. Totally dead.

Hi Larry,

May I know the exact model no. of your unit, it is printed at the back cover, receipts and on the manual. It will help diagnose where the exact fault came from and give you an accurate solution to your problem.

I have a little flat screen TV that has worked fine for about a year. All of a sudden it turns itself off as soon as I turn it on. Someone told me it could be that the alarm clock is set t do that.Ii find...

It sounds like It needs a visit to the repair shop I am afraid. When you turn on your t.v. the first thing it does is do a diagnostic check to see if everything is o.k If something is wrong even if its something very simple like a snapped connecter in the tv then it will turn it self off.Unless you are semi confident about taking it to bits to see if you can see something wrong then I would say go to a repair shop but dont let them rip you off,try and find somewhere that will not charge to look at it and tell you how much it will cost first before they do any work.

Will not turn on

Unless something major has happened like its fell off itsstand then it will proberbly be a fuse or two inside the t.v. Itself. If you know the exact type of fuse/fuses and are confident around electrics they are easily changed themselves instead of paying top dollar for a couple of 50p fuses to have someone else put them in and charge you £50!! What a world we live in !!sad!!

Lcd 1575 adapter

Usually these adaptors are internationally standard - they mostly have a 12volt secondary output of 3 or 4 amps - ensure the plug size and polarity is correct and it should work. Details can be obtained from the label on your faulty AC adaptor.
