Hi

You can unlock the ipod by either entering the 4 digit lock code or by connecting your ipod with the primary computer linked to that iPod, the computer it is synchronized. And, then
Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button and the ipod will unlock. However, if this also doesn't work for you then you'll need to restore the ipod to factory settings. This will erase all the data stored on the iPod. Please see this link for details--- Ipod Unlock Hope this helps... Daniel

SOURCE: Can't unlock the Apple Ipod 30GB

You have to use iTunes on your pc and restore the ipod

Restore
Note: Because Restore erases all of the songs and files on iPod, make sure to back up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your iTunes Library.

How to restore your iPod:
For Windows:

1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of iTunes.
2. Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
3. After a few moments, it will appear in the source list in iTunes.
4. Select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in theSummary tab of the main iTunes windows.
5. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download of the latest iPod Software.

The 4 possible restore options are:

Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.

Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.

Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.

Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.

6. A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, iTunes will instruct you to leave iPod connected to your computer to complete restore.
7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.

SOURCE: trying to unlock break the code on apple ipod nano

that is not a problem follow the steps below. If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with
which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the
device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced
with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your
data will not be present Follow the steps that i have outlined below. If this does not completely help your situation
please let me know and i will be glad to assist you. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the
following: 1 If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to
manage its songs. . . Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod Nano. 2 Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on a Mac or PC computer. 3 Open the iTunes application by clicking on the Dock icon on a Mac or using the Start menu on a
PC. 4 Click on the name of your iPod Nano under the "Devices" list in the iTunes window. 5 Click on the "Sync" button to establish a connection between your iPod and the computer. 6 Click on the eject symbol next to your iPod's name after the syncing process has finished. 7 Unplug your iPod Nano. The device will be unlocked and you will be able to access all normal
features again. if that does not work you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please
note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. How can I unlock iPod without passcode?

You cannot if there was a passcode put on it. If there is and you are unsure of what it may be, you can call the Apple companies 1800 number and give them the VIN number of the ipod, you will have to verify some information but if the information is correct they will either let you know the passcode or help you to unlock it.

Is theres a number i can call for technical support for help to unlock my ipod nano

No Number but try this:
Screen Lock" is provided by the iPod nano, iPod (5th Gen), and subsequently released full-size iPod, iPod nano, and iPod touch models. Earlier iPods, and iPod shuffle models, do not offer this feature. In the Apple Support Site, Apple notes that the "Screen Lock" function:
Allows you to set a 4-digit combination to prevent someone else from using your iPod while it is not attached to a computer. When an iPod is locked, you must enter the combination to unlock the screen. This feature is different from the Hold switch in that the Hold switch only prevents iPod from turning on accidentally -- not keeping snoops out. Screen Lock only locks users out of the user interface. It does not encrypt data on your iPod. For example, if you use Screen Lock and then connect your iPod to a computer, you'll be able to manage music on your iPod with iTunes and access all data on it in disk mode (contacts, notes, and any other files you have stored on the iPod). This support document also provides additional information on locking and unlocking the iPod. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the iPod by doing the following:
Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. My Ipod Touch 32GB appears to be locked, how would I go about unlocking it?

Normally there's a button on top of the Ipod Touch that you would need to press first for the screen to show you the message "Slide to unlock". After getting that, you can just touch the button on the screen sideways (like sliding your fingers to it) to unlock it.

However if the problem persist, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
1. Connect your IPod to your computer (the first one IPod sync with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.

If you still can't unlock IPod by connecting it to the
computer that you use to manage the songs, you can restore your iPod to it's factory settings using Itunes.

Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.

Although, after restoring the Ipod and you are still having problems with unlocking it, the problem could be with the screen of your Ipod. In which case, you would need to go to any Apple store near you or you can try contacting Apple. Phone numbers for each country varies, you can click here to check the Phone number for your country.

Hope this information helps!

How to unlock if you fogot your locking number

The only way that I know of unlocking an iPod is to use iTunes and RESTORE the iPod. If this is your iPod and you do a restore and re-sync you should not loose anything you had.

Please note I do not condone use of this information for "FOUND" or stolen iPods.
