Any error that reads "6C10" while using a Canon printer most likely has to do with the upgrade of the operating system on the user's computer, most notably, when the user upgrades from Windows XP to Windows 7. If it is a hardware issue, the user should consider taking the printer to a technician. However, another possibility is that the drivers are not installed properly on the computer. Problems with the cartridges can also cause this error code. The user should consider removing the cartridges and then replacing them again, ensuring that they are properly installed. Most likely, because of the transition between operating systems, i.e. from Windows XP to Windows 7, there are drivers that are not compatible or are simply missing. The best advice is to visit the manufacturer's website and install all the latest drivers.
