Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F70 is Central Control unit Heartbeat failure. If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit to the User Interface. To resolve this issue you'll have to:
1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness.
2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit.
3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.
4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Hello Mike - Typically, if the water temperature combination is not appropriate for the cycle selected, the status lights will blink and signal will beep 3 times. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. Wait roughly ten minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the washer continues to beep. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, your appliance could be experiencing a communication error with the control board or could have a wiring failure. I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the precise cause.

Good Morning Elizabeth - Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either have a communication error from the main control board, faulty power supply or a potential wiring failure. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. Wait roughly ten minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the washer continues to flash. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
