There are two most possible problems.

Fist the steam wand have clogged from dry milk. So you try soaking the wand in boiling water and after some minutes try the steam again. If you hear any steam out just keep it open and the steam will clean the rest. If you don't hear any steam you can help it by inserting a thing paper clip all the way in the wand and try again soaking and steam.

If you don't have any result then the steam valve is goggled from a scale deposit and you need to try a couple of times descaling and you have 85 % chances to open it. If not then you need to remove the steam valve and remove the scale deposit manually with the use of metal wire brush.

In any case give more emphasis in the first possibility with soaking.

Good luck

I need to descale my machine, now the screen says descale and "purge" and nothing happens when I press hot water on OR want to let steam out

There is a blockage in the steam/hot water circuit . Try poking the end of the steam tip on wand with a paper clip. Make sure turn the hot water on by pressing the hot water button and turning the steam wand.

Hello, my saeco stratos is showing over heated in display everytime I take steam. Can this be solved?

Hi
When you are done steaming, just press the water button and open the steam valve again. This will purge the steam and cool the boiler back down. When it is cool enough the display will change back to "product ready for use". Have something under the steam wand as this is where the steam and water will come out.

Have you run a decal recently? This normally happens when a small particle (normally) an undesolved piece of the decal tablet is stuck in the flow meter, or sensor.
You can try and run warm water through the system and after about half a tank it should be sorted out.

Do you hear the pump working but no water flows?

You should select hot water (the third button from the right) and the display should say "hot water" at the same time it is saying VENTILATE --- open the steam valve all the way and the pump should start and you should see water from the steam wand.

If you don't hear the pump at all, then that is a different problem.

If you do hear the pump but still don't get any water with the steam valve open, then you need to prime the pump by using a turkey baster or the accordian pump that came with the Titanium to pump water into the valve where water from the tank goes. Remove the tank and use the turkey baster to pump water into that valve while the pump is running and the steam valve is open all the way with HOT WATER selected. the second water starts to come out the steam valve you want to stop the pump (turn the power off or turn the steam knob shut) and put the water tank back on and make sure there is plenty of water in the tank - then start the pump again by opening the steam valve all the way and let it pump water out the steam wand for a few minutes.

Hi you can try
This works with most Brother printers

Procedure how to reset the error 46 error (unable to clean). This can be done on every Brother inkjet machine with a numeric keypad.

- Machine off
- Switch on the machine while holding down the “menu” button until all the leds are flashing on/off. Now you are in “maintenance” mode.
- press 80
- press the “mono start” button several times until you see “purge: xxxx”
- press “2783” in order to reset the purge counter. You will see: “purge:0000”
- press “99” to exit the maintenance mode

Now you are able to print again, but actually your ink absorber box is now full with ink. Ink flooding can happen if you don’t replace this ink box

Also can try.
