Sub-zero fridges do not share air between the fridge and freezer sides, and therefore the temps in one do not affect the temps in the other. Most likely you have a Freon leak in the refrigerator evaporator, part # 4204420. This is an expensive job that can not likely be done by anyone other than a professional sad to say. It requires that the remaining old Freon be recovered, the evaporator be cut out, a new one welded in with a torch and some silver solder, and then the system pulled into a vacuum with a vacuum pump and recharged with new Freon. If the unit is less than 12 years old, the part is still covered under warranty for the part ONLY, but you will have to use an authorized servicer to be able to warranty it to you. Sometimes if you call subzero at 1800 222 7820, they will be willing to pick up part of the cost of the repair for you, depending on the age of the unit, how much service history you have, and how many of their products you own. Always worth a call to them. Not sure what your local repair company would charge for this repair, but it tends to range form $400-$800. Good Luck! The factory settings for temp in this unit are 36 degrees in the fridge, 0 for the freezer.

The 690 does not have a 'door open' warning bell. Too much stuff in the wrong places can make door not close the last tiny amount. Over many hours the temp will go up. Does the same if freezer door left open. Check this before do major service.

The ideal temp would be 53F for the fridge and 10F for the freezer.
Please adjust the freexer thermostat a bit higher to get it to 10F. That should reflect in the fridge as well.

oops..that should read -10 to +10ºF in the freezer and between 36 and 38ºF in the fresh food compartment.
Try increasing the thermostat for the freezer up a bit higher. Although this may sound strange, increasing the freezer temperature a bit, will actually help lower the fridge temp. Keep in mind that it takes 24 hours for any change in the
controls to work through the system and reach steady state so don’t
look for instantaneous changes in temperature when you make control
    setting changes.

Read THIS article for more info about this..

If you find that the fridge is still warm, it could be a problem with either the air baffle unit or the condenser, in which case you may have to call in a repair man.

It is perfectly normal for the refr door on a side by side Subzero to stick out a little further than the freezer door. That light could mean several things. If you have vacuumed the condenser then you should call a repairman to look at it.

Where is the fan on the freezer side that cools the fridge on sub zero 690

Hi,

The freezer section has its own fan and the fridge has its own fan motor. The two systems are separate from each other and does not share air. The Fan in the freezer is located behind the ice maker in the freezer section.

I hope this helps.

Sub zero 690 side by side ,I have clean the condenser but vacume condenser keep on flashing .Turn the fridge off from the circut then on but same words are flasing after 12 hrs or so.Fridge temprature is...

MOST LIKELY FRIDGE SECTION IS LOW ON FREON! "VACUUM CONDENSER" WILL COME ON IF COMPRESSOR RUNS MORE THAN IT SHOULD BE. COMMON THING IS LEAKING EVAPORATOR COILS IN FRESH FOOD SECTION. CHECK MY VIDEO, I HOPE IT HELPS.

My sub zero 690 has the fridge & freezer light out as well as the screen

Well the most likely cause is 2 bad door switches, though I rarely see the door switch go bad in the freezer. At the top of the door openings you will see 2 switches in the freezer and the fridge. If you pull down the grille and remove the cover over those switches, the light switch will be the one with the white back, and the fan switch will be the one with the black back. I would try changing the switch in the fridge, and maybe start in the freezer by changing at least 1 bulb before blaming the switch. If that 1 new bulb doesn't light, change that switch too.

Sub zero 690 control center readout

A picture would be helpful, but there should be two 2 digit numbers. the one on the top should be fridge temp reading somewhere around 34-40, and the bottom one should be freezer temp, reading around -2 to 05.

Sub zero 532. freezer works fine --0 degrees. fridge wont get below 50 degrees. cleaned condenser fins- still no decrease in temp

check the fan that runs between the freezer and the fridge --check fan for ice blockage -debris-or damage / clean or clear blockage --if not running test wiring and connections as well as motor /repair or replace //also check fan damper is not frozen or blocked its flap that opens and closes for air to flow //----ur fridge side is cooled from the the freezer side the cold air is blown in from the freezer if fan or damper is not working correctly than fridge is usually warm and freezer is working properly
