I have a Canon Laser Class 710. A client sent us a Fax and the error reads In Memory, Incorrect Paper Size. I have both letter and legal paper trays, both full, no paper jams. How do I get this to print? Please help! Thank you!

Will this allow me to retrieve the faxes we have received but have not printed? I don't want to lose our client faxes. Thank you!

Hi...will this print the items in memory. I need to make sure I don't lose my client faxes. Thank you!

I do not have a "Resume" button on my FAX machine. I also do not want to lose what is stored in memory before I can print out the faxes received. I have looked through the manual, and cannot find a solution to this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is definitely possible to print the fax, do you have this machine attached to a computer in any way, possibly through the network? I am trying to locate the manual for this unit but am unable to do so. I know it's possible to go into the menu and force it to print faxes from memory. Whatever the fax is that was received was of an unusual size that won't fit onto either size paper you have in the machine.

Let me know if you have it attached to a PC...

Do you know who you received the fax from? Could they refax it to another number? Possibly email it in? Just curious, it may be a much easier solution.

Thanks, let me know,
Tim

Hello,

I will advice you Press and hold the "Resume" button on the printer. Press and hold the "Power" button while holding down "Resume."
Release the "Resume" button. Press "Resume" twice. The indicator light will turn amber followed by green.
Release the "Power" button. Press the "Resume" button four times.
Press the "Power" button. The error code is now reset, and your device should work fine.

Take care.

I have a Laser Class 710 and the error light keeps blinking. There is a message that says "incorrect paper size received in memory". How do I get rid of this?

Someone has probably sent you a fax on 8 1/2 x 14 inch (legal size) paper. Pull down the manual hand feed tray which is located above the regular paper cassettes and place some legal size paper in it. Hopefully the fax will be outputted and the message will go away. Good luck.

Our machine is reading error, with "incorrect paper size". What does this mean?

This error means that either the physical paper tray and copier setting dos not match up with one another. For instance, if the tray 2 is set to letter and the copier is set to legal on tray 2, then there will be a discrepancy and cause an error. Ensure that both the tray and copier are set to the correct size.

We have a Canon Image Class MF3240 Copier/Fax/printer/scanner. We are receiving error A4-load proper paper. We are loading with 8 1/2 by 11 paper. What is this error telling me?

The problem is on the computer, not on the printer.

"A4" is a paper size, just like "Letter" and "Legal".

You probably have your software application, such as Excel, Word, etc., set to paper size = A4.

Do this in your program on the computer:
[File]
[Page Setup]
[Size] "8 1/2 x 11"

... and print your document again.

My Canon Laser Class 710 fax machine is flashing a red error and the message states ''received in memory'' .. How do I clear it?

You could be out of toner = new toner cartridge.
You could be out of paper = reload paper
You could have a printer problem, paper jam, door open, etc

get the printer part working.

does it print a report if you press the 'report' key?

How do you print on legal paper from memory?

You have sent a fax? Or you have received a fax.
If you have sent it, it's gone and can't be printed.
If you have received it, then you obviously have to put legal paper in the tray, and program the paper size in your system settings to tell the machine it is Legal paper in the tray. However, once again, if it has already printed the fax (likely on 2 pages) then it's gone from memory and can't be re-printed.

Canon Laser Class 3175 facsimile, incoming faxes are being saved in memory, will not print. Cannot clear error message "check paper size".

The problem is that you have a fax saved in memory that is the wrong size for the paper you have in the drawer. Probably it is a legal size, whereas you have letter size in the drawer.Just place some legal size paper in the by-pass tray to print.

Incorrect paper size

You may have a fax in memory that requires a larger size. Try putting legal in the tray and see if it prints out anything. Also, look in the set up menu to see if there is an "auto reduction" mode. That will make any over sized incoming faxes automatically print out on the size paper you have in the tray.
