Daisyramon, Have you checked the lock tab on your digital card that stors the pictures? You may have inaverdentally pushed the slide lock by accident to the protected side. If you did just push it back to the oposite side of the card. Hope this helps you. I always pull my card from the camera and insert it in the USB port on the front of my computer and open my pictures there and also transfer any to the card from the computer.

How do I unprotect pics on a 0lympus c-765

As it was the camera that put the protection on ..You need to put the card into the camera..And ..UN-TICK each one to unprotect them...The idea of the protected photos is so you cant erase them when you format the card.

I cant take picture using my digital camera olympus u 5010..it says SD card write protected what should i do? and i cant transfer my important pics in my pc plss help

Remove the SD card from the camera, now look along the one edge for a switch, slide it towards the contacts to unlock the card. The switch that is farthest from the contacts is in the locked position, write protected. If the switch is in the unlock position slide it back and forth to reset the SD card, if no change replace it.

Take out the memory card. then check the slide switch and slide it to the other side. It might be in the lock position.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Cant take pics, says card protected. used earlier and was fine, now wont take pics at all

Hello,

Have you checked your memory card to see if it IS in fact protected? It is amazingly easy for some camera memory cards to become accidentally protected.

Check and see if you card has a switch that allows it to be set to read only. And if it does make sure it is not set to read only.

Protected card pops up and I cant take any pics?

Remove the card from the camera.  There is a small slide tab on the card which shows a picture of a lock.  Move the slide tab to the unlock position.  If this doesn't fix it, replace the card.

I have pc with vista ultimate 64 bit edition but i cant get it to rcognise my vivicam 7100s to transfer pics to pc

Your best bet would be to buy a cheap SD card reader and use that to transfer pics. Your camera probably is not supported by windows vista. (let alone vista x64)
