It is irresponsible to offer that a viable solution to a problem is available and then charge for advice literally to junk the hardware. I am sure the legal department covered their butts on this one. I will still report the site for what I consider misrepresentation.

Try all buttons on the case - if none work then the processor of the player has failed. It will be cheaper to just get a new player than to try to fix this one.

Take a Philips screwdriver, take out the screws that hold the top cover (located at the rear and on the sides) take out the top cover and look inside - you will see 3 very small boards and the optical mechanism. Those 3 small boards are: the power source, the button board (on the front of the case) and the processor board, with all the rear connectors. There is nothing to go bad on the button board - no electronics of any kind, just some switches. The power source is working (it's so simple that is bullet-proof, only a direct power surge can damage it, and that surge would have fried a lot more.

The only thing left is the processor board and as you will see with your own eyes nothing on it can be replaced - if something on it goes bad then the entire board is dead, good for the skip.
For such simple devices like your player parts aren't available officially but you can still find them (recovered from defective units) on sites like Craigslist or Ebay for around $20. Add shipping it will cost you around$30. To replace it you will need to do a lot of solderings for the connecting wires - a repair shop is out of the question (over $100) so a friend will do it for $50.
The end result: you will pay at least $80 to fix your dvd player when you could buy an even better new one for $75 or less.
Please next time don't hurl baseless insults when you don't have a clue what (or who) you're insulting.

The eye for the remote control is not lite up, why?

You mean the Red part at the end of the remote? That is where the signal comes from but it is infrared so invisible to the naked eye. You should have a small LED on top that lights up red when you press buttons. If that is not working, you need new batteries or a new remote.

I turned tv off with remote, now it will not turn back on. i have tried remote and button on front of tv.

Check the remote with new batteries. If it do not work, remote control has the trouble. You can't switch the set ON by its front panel power switch, as it has been shut down by remote command.

Remote will not communicate with television

What kind of television are you trying to program the Zenith Remote to? If it is a Zenith TV, it should work after replacing the batteries. If not, the remote returns to the factory default to the Zenith Code. If you changed the batteries cuz the unit would not function, the remote itself may be defective. Replacements are still available at a ZENITH dealer at a nominal cost.

Sony Kv-32fx68u not recognising remote commands

Sounds like the remote sensor inside the TV is faulty. Anyway, Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.
Search the site by type in this key phrase "how to test a remote control "in the "search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get the related post quickly. [open and clean] [open and clean]

Mx 3000 universal lcd remote

There are 4 reasons why your unit is behaving this way:
1. Charger is the problem.
2. The docking station is the broken.
3. The battery is broken or not accepting charge.
4. The actual unit is the problem.
It is very hard to tell which one is causing this to happen.
Let us do some troubleshooting first:
1. Plug your charger in an A/C outlet and make sure the red power light (left) is lit, otherwise the charger or the docking station is broken.
2. You can test the charger with a multimeter. Unplug the charger from the docking station and measure the voltage across the outside and inside, it should register more than 5 volts DC. If there is a 5Volt DC the docking station is the problem otherwise the charger is broken.
3. If the red power light is lit and the status light (right) is lit too, your docking station is broken.
4. If the red power light is lit, dock the unit into the charger, the status light (left) should turn red when your battery is accepting charge or turn blue when your battery is fully charged.
5. If the status light will not lit at all (while the red power light is on), tap the screen while the unit is docked on the charger. If the unit will become alive, you need a new battery otherwise you need a new unit.

12 hours is very long time to charge, the status light should turn to blue in less than 2 hours especially for a new battery.

Remote Control

Change the remote control batteries. Because of the motor construction, it needs to turn on in the highest speed setting. This is why it defaults to the high speed mode. Put new batteries in the remote and that ought to fix it.

Not receiving IR Commands from remote.

replace the IR sensor...I don't have a part number for it..but I have seen IR sensors grow either weak..or fail totally..also you'll want to verify that the remote is can buy an infrared detector strip from radio shack for a couple bucks...all you do is push power on the remote continuously..and hold the detector strip up to the front of the remote..if you see a red flashing on the strip..the remote is transmitting..if not..the remote has low battery..or has taken a dirt nap.......
