After a few minute on machine "user not detected on belt hit ok to continue " comes up on machine and shuts down if you don't hit ok within 10 seconds.

This is because the sensor or Smart Stop Circuit board is in the bar (ERGO BAR Handrail) is damaged or does not detect the user really maybe it´s dirty must replace

    Ah! I forgot If you are the replacement that would do the following steps:



    1. Turn the unit power OFF at the switch then unplug the line cord at the wall outlet.
    2. Remove two screws from the back of the ERGO Bar securing the Smart Stop Cover Assembly, and then lift off
    the Smart Stop Cover just enough to disconnect the 4-Pin Connector from the Smart Stop Circuit Board.
    3. Remove and discard the Smart Stop Assembly.
    4. Install new Smart Stop Assembly in reverse order.

I have a GE Profile dryer that stops 10-15 minutes into cycle. Seems to happen at almost the same amount of time in. It stops and Start/Pause light is flashing. If you hit button , starts for a few se


take a multi meter and check ffuse, thermistor, etc, etc behind the back of the dryer. Take the back off, you'll see a few little parts with wiring going to them. Take off one after another and use the multi meter in "ohms" mode to see which little part has "zero" ohms when you press the red and black points on each side of those little parts. If it has a reading of 4.6 or 7.9 or whatever, put it right back on and ncheck the next one. When you find one that shows 0.0 or 0.01 or next to nothing, zero, go buy that part and out it back on. It could be the timer fuse, the actual timer back there, the element, but you can check all those little things,like about 5 or 6 of them are back there total, with a multi meter. Then either go ton a supply house in your area or order it off amazon/ebay. Thats all you need to do at this point so far.

Dishwasher Clean Light Flashing or Blinking Seven Times


Whirlpool and Whirlpool-made Kenmore Dishwashers are equipped with a fault detection feature within the control software to help the user and most especially the technician diagnose a problem when it occurs. One of the common faults is indicated by a pattern of seven (7) flashes or blinks made by the Clean light indicator. It occurs when the control detects a failure in heating up the water to at least two (2) degrees Fahrenheit above the initial temperature during the first eight (8) minutes of the cycle.

The control monitors the temperature of the water both at the start and at the end the first 8 minutes of the cycle. It will not allow the machine to advance to the next cycle if the necessary end temperature of the water is not reached; instead, it will shut down the machine and will not allow the user to operate it unless the error is cleared. But the error will continue to appear until the problem is addressed.

The error can be cleared by pressing the Heated Dry button then the Normal button in sequence twice; that is, Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal. The user will then be able to restart the cycle but the error will eventually come up again and will not get the cycle completely done.

In order to complete the cycle, make sure water is being fed properly to the machine, the washer impeller is not stiff or stuck, and the float bulb is not stuck in the up or full position. Once all of these are ensured, preheat the water to at least 160 degrees or cool it down to below 62 degrees Fahrenheit before feeding it into the machine. These extreme temperatures will bypass the water temperature detection step and automatically proceed to the next step and complete the cycle.

The technique described above is not intended to address the problem which can be a failure of the heating circuit, water system, pump,or wash impeller. But rather to bypass the water temperature detection step and complete the cycle. The user is advised to determine the reason why the water is not able to heat up. Service of a qualified appliance technician is recommended if the user is not technically inclined to perform the necessary troubleshooting and repair. Disconnect power to the machine prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock that may result to physical injury, disability, or even death.

My Sony VGN-CR590 shuts down after 5-10 minutes. How can this be fixed? I'm not sure the fans are running.


A way to check to see if the machine is overheating is when you turn on the computer, there should be an option to hit F10 or F2 for the bios. In there, there should be a few temperature readings. Let the machine idle and in the bios if the tempature rises in there there could be an issue with the cooling for the CPU.

My tv shuts down after 10-15min being on red light starts blinking about 10 time then shuts off then later it will come back on within few min to hrs sound and picture ok but just keeps shutting down will...


I have the same problem with mine. I can recreate the problem by stopping the small fan on the right side by the inputs. I'm not sure if its a heat problem or not. I already bought a new Sony Bravia but will continue to tinker with this for awhile.

If it is not a bad soldering joint somewhere, it could be the mode switch. They can sometimes be cleaned with Servisol Video 40, but you might have to replace it.

When we shut off tv for the day the fan motor continues to run it does not turn off


the fan will continue to run after the power is shut down on a DLP television untill the set has cooled down . But it should shut off within a few minutes

You probably put more than a pin-head size drop of heat grease compound on CPU, thus "bleeding" over on the CPU, effectively overheating processor (very common). In any event, your problem is overheating -that's *the* place to look for now.

As I told you, when the tv main chip detects a problem, it force the TV in protected mode, and activates an internal safety switch to turn tv off.
This is why TV goes off in ten seconds.

when this happens TV must be taken apart and inside component tested and eventually replaced.

The technician will test the inside of your TV starting from the power supply board.

If you want to do it yourself you will need experience in testing and precision soldering, otherwise call a repairman using the phone number listed in the user manual.
