The CWT 15-3 has a water tank that can be filled by a water line attached to the machine or by removing the thumb screw on top of the machine near the front. The screw holds a small cover about 2 by 6 inches that lifts off. You can use this to pour water in if you don't have a waterline hookup. This is the tank opening into which you will pout a quart of vinegar to descale the machine. Also this machine has a long thin spring with it from the factory. If you remove the brew funnel, then unscrew the sprayhead above the brew funnel, you can descale the tube that carries hot water from the tank to the brew funnel. Just snake the spring into the tube where you unscrewed the spray head, and slide it in and out until you no longer see scale on the spring. When you pour a quart of vinegar into the machine let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes and then flush with 3 or 4 carafes of water. This should remove the scale from the tank. In areas with hard water and high usage of the machine, one cycle of vinager may not be sufficient to totally remove all the scale. Repeat as necessary until the water is clear.

My hot water spigot no longer works. Is this caused by a build-up of sediment from our years of heavy use, or it is time to upgrade?

It sounds like this is a constant use item, and you do not have the time to descale it. If you have the time, you may want to try to descale the sediment using citric acid or white vinegar. This will dissolve the scale, and after awhile you could soon get water through the spout. Here is a link to the manual:

How to repair a bunn commercial coffee maker

Hello, I thought I would help you at. I know you said your tank leaks. Problem Is i do not know if at my end it leaks because a hole in the tank or it is clogged and over flowing, A lot of times when a machine leaks, is because it backs up like a sewer system when it is clogged, meaning machine might just needs to be cleaned and descaled. So, here is the manual with all kinds of information. Please take the time to read its entirety, especially in the area of cleaning. Thanks Mike.... copy and paste this link into your browser.

We have a 2 month old bunn coffee maker. worked fine now coffee is taking 10 minutes to brew

Sounds like calcium build up, You need to descale the machine.

If you look at the grounds on the basket, After the brew cycle is over there is like a hole in the center of the grounds. This happens when there is calcium build up in the tank, tube and or spray head. And takes forever for the brew cycle to end.

Follow the instruction on your manual to descale the brewer.

I have a Bunn CWTF15. Water does not fill the coffee pot full anymore. Is there a float that needs to be adjusted? Would descaling help this problem? Thank you.

If u haven't cleaned it out using 3/4 vinegar to 1/4 water, some times this will happen. after running this thru ur coffee maker, (u won't believe the junk that comes out), then run full pots of water to rinse out (2x's). This should help it perform better.

I have mold or lime deposits where the water goes in on my bunn coffee pot what can i clean it.

For lime deposits, you can use a citric acid based descaler/cleaner solution.

For mould or mildew, wash thoroughly in a mild steralising bleach solution (similar to the type you clean a baby bottle with).

When you've used both, ensure you rinse the machine thoroughly several times before using it.

Good luck!
