There is no fuse indicated in the schematic for this unit or a "door switch" for the thermostat fan. Can you be more specific as to where this door switch is located and how to access it.

Check the outlet with something else that works. Look around the machine for a reset button. Some machines have a tip-over safety, see if it needs to be reset.

Heater keeps popping the surge protecter

kheindel,

Try the unit in a non-GFCI receptacle.

If the unit runs fine you have a problem with the neutral having power on it.

Are you using the unit with a two prong plug? Is the grounding stab missing? If the answer to the last two questions is yes then you need to install the proper 3 prong plug.

If this is not an issue then you probably have a bad motor which has contact between the rotor and ground. Replace the motor.

I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4124129-yearly_maintenance_reddy_heaters which explains where to get the repair parts and how to do the repair.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating. Please consider a testimonial. Thank you.

The Cozy Console Pilot flame has been off less than a hour today 07-07 2010 can we wait till the spring time to put back on or call the Gas- company?

Hi, if you are saying that its off now and is it OK to leave it off until spring, yes it is. If you want it to stay off, you can also shut the gas off at the flex line that supplies gas to the unit. Just turn the small handle to the off position, this is just for added safety.

http://www.haywardnet.com/locator/ Try setting up a warranty call. If the unit does nothing and you are sure the unit is getting power it will be something either at the cord connection or the control board and under warranty.

Rheem small 6 gallon water heater vibration/noise

If the water heater is working fine than I would not worry about the function of the water heater. What the problem may be is that some of your WATER LINES HAVE MOVED, AS THEY WERE NOT SECURED PROPERLY. The sound you may have heard was the Copper or PVC(Plastic) lines just getting back comfortable. I Suggest checking that your water lines are secured about every 3 or 4 feet with the proper ancjhor....Metal for metal pipe, copper for copper pipe, etc. Sometime as in my house, pipes are run through a hole drilled through a stud or a piece of wood, usually when hot water is run through this pipe. You can here an expansion of the water line interacting with the pipe expanding, if the hole in the wood was not drilled big enough......Experience of remodeling a very old house.......Joe

You are sure you have power at the plug? If so it sounds like the internal circuit breaker tripped or the switch is bad. Either way, throw the heater away, they are not designed to be field repaired, sorry.
