I keep getting paper jams. Even if I put one sheet of paper in at a time, the paper keeps jamming and won't print.

Hi
I live in the mid west - during our significantly humid days my 926 wouldn't pull in any paper. I tried a lot of home grown techniques but none worked. I finally raised the air temp in my office which tended to dry out the paper and that worked. Of course your problem could be a broken gear or a worn out feed tire - also something stuck in the printer.

Just open the front door and take out he toner/drum cartridge, remove the paper cassette, best is to pull the paper forward toward the inside of printer, if none is visible you can push an index card up from the front to push out any scraps.

BROTHER PRINTER HL-2140

Try turning the printer off and back on. if this doesn't help, open any cover that will open and look for paper still in the printer. many times, if you stop the printer mid-job, paper will be stuck in the back of them, and most printers will not recover until you remove the paper jam.
