Question about Mitsubishi MSH09TW Air Conditioner

1 Answer

My Mr Slim Model # MSH09TW suddenly is turn off in the middle of the night. Then comes back on for 5 minutes, then stop and blows nothing( with the green light on). I've had the HVAC people service the unit, tested and did a setback, replaced the batteries in the controller and the problem still exists! What needs to be done?

It sounds like the thermal overload it kicking it out. The thermal overload is to keep it from starting a fire. Something is getting hot inside the unit.

I have 2 Mitsubishi electric "Mr Slim" type

Hi,

Have your system checked by a professional.
From what you are describing here it seems as thoug you have a slight leak in the system somewhere and therefore the system is not cooling or heating properly.

Have them check the system... verify the low charge, fine the leak and repair it.
Vacuum and recharge the system...

Then check the operation before you let them out of your sight.

...It can be tough to get some contrators back if you let them go before you check it...espec. if you pay them...:-)

Mitsubishi Mr Slim Units Take 5+ minutes to start

this is not abnormal. you dont have to worry about the refrigerant freezing. it wont. Once your unit is given the call for heat it can take 5 minutes easily for the refrigerant to circulate and draw the btus from the ambient air. you can try to change the setting on your fan to medium but no higher.

Mr. Slim msz-a17na won't turn on after power outtage

after a power outage, normally as power comes back in, it's a little bit high than normal.

with a dead set that you got, it would probably be the control transformer. the primary could have been burn by a spike voltage.( sudden rise in voltage above normal).

or im sure it has a fuse. check first the fuse. if the fuse is ok, then it would be the transformer.

tnx 4 using fixya,
