The flash on my S9400 Coolpix has stopped working. I've looked through my menu and settings but don't see anything that addresses this. Any thoughts?

You might of turn the flash off by mistake through the back of the camera settings ? Look on top of the OK button on the back of your camera, there should be a Flash icon in the shape of a zig zag arrow, press on that and make sure the flash setting is set to AUTO, it might be set to OFF ?

Canon T3 flash flutters and does not take pictures help!

The 'fluttering' is a pre flash used to help the camera focus in low light. The internal flash isn't a powerful flash and is usually only good enough for subjects up to about 2m away in reasonable light also to light a subject that is back lit. Try putting the camera in manual mode (M) 1/60sec on f5.6 flash popped up review it and make adjustments accordingly i.e. open up or shut down the aperture as the flash usually syncs at 1/60

The flash does not flash. Camera works without the flash.

I reviewed the menu settings and made a change to the flash option setting. Some how the function was turned to the off position!
Reading your posted comments gave me the idea to check that out!
Thanks, TW

Fuji finepix s2 pro

the lithium batteries power the flash and some of the metering. But if they drop below a certain power, the camera dies. The F33 error is probably the accidental movement of the aperture ring on the lense. If you get the error, check the aperture ring is set.

No, you've just turned on the "highlights" option in image review. Press the up arrow on the d-pad to get back to the normal setting.

FLASH WONT TURN ON

You can try cleaning the terminals in the battery compartment with a pencil eraser (a good idea in any case). Otherwise, I suspect hidden damage or fault. If not an expensive unit, replace it.
