Enter your full model number (MH8150XJT0 or MH8150XJT1) and look on the "Interior and Ventilation" diagram for reference numbers 11, 12, and 13.

Or you can get them there.

SOURCE: my over the stove whirlpool microwave shuts off

sounds like the door interlock switch or the linkage on the door that activates the switches. Don't know your knowledge, you get to them by opening the control panel, if it's over 5 years old I wouldn't put any money in it, I imnagine it's made by Samsung in Korea.

SOURCE: Whirlpool MH1150XMS-3 F2 error message

You have a shorting membrane keypad. If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and of course one should never leave a microwave unattended while cooking.

On this model, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

It's actually a pretty easy do it yourself job.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Next, disconnect the strip as shown in the photo below, then remove the screws that hold your circuit board in the old frame.

40716d4.jpg

Then carefully (since the display is made of glass) move your circuit board to the new frame, and reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.

The part number to order is 8205031 (formerly 8204739) and you can get it here for $140.37 plus shipping.

You can also find helpful exploded view diagrams at that link.

SOURCE: What does F4 on microwave display mean?

This Kenmore is made by LG for Whirlpool. Confused yet? :D

F4 means you have an open humidity sensor.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site here, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

To find helpful exploded view diagrams and get part numbers, you can just enter your full model number at the Sears parts site.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

But Sears parts can usually be obtained for far less here by entering either the part number.

F2 on a Whirlpool means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On some models, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame.
That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly with the full model number from the the tag in or on the unit and I can give you an estimate and/or do-it-yourself instructions and links.

Whirlpool mircowave model MH3184XP the display reads F2

There is a problem with the control pad. The membrane, or surface, of the pad may be broken or damaged somewhere, resulting in the F2 error code. This is common for Whirlpool microwaves.

Press "Stop/Cancel" twice and select a new cook program. Press "Start" to begin.

If the error code persists, press "Stop/Cancel" again and unplug the microwave. Wait several minutes and plug it in. If the F2 code appears again, it requires repair.

Replacement membranes can be found online

but the internals of a microwave are dangerous, having high voltages even when unplugged. With the cost of parts and labour from a service tech, you may be best buying a new oven.

What does F2 mean?

The error code F2 on your GE microwave indicates "Shorted thermal sensor", this condition will occur if a shorted thermal sensor is detected continuously over 5 seconds on convection, combination or roast cooking.
. It takes a minimum of 5 minutes of convection run time before this code will be
displayed. More information on this error code, as well as other error codes, can be found at

Best of Luck with your microwave.

What does f2 mean?

F2 on a Kitchenaid / Whirlpool / Maytag microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

On some models, the keypad is available separately.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

On other models, the keypad
is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

It all depends on the model number.
