Possibly low brake pads, frozen caliper or check the tire itself for even treads & condition.

SOURCE: my car makes a scrapping and or grinding noise when driving and braking like i'm dragging something

Just by the information you put, I would say its your brakes. They are most likely worn out past the minimum wear (3mm). If its whenever you drive maybe you are dragging something? Your exhaust system supports may have failed, maybe something stuck in there and so you are dragging it along. Take a look underneath your car.

If the noise only happens when you brake then its gotta be a problem with your brakes. Sometimes rocks get stuck in between brake pads and rotors, this makes a very annoying squeeling sound until the rock comes loose and falls out. Another possibility, like I said earlier, is that your brake pads have worn out and is now metal on metal. I recommend you go to a shop and get your brakes checked. Brakes are a very important part of your vehicle, safety especially, so I don't recommend doing it yourself unless you know what you are doing.

Hope this helps.
Thanks

:)

SOURCE: '96 Toyota 4-Runner makes a loud squealing noise and brake light

Sounds like one of the auxillary belts slipping it may just need tightening up. I think the 4-Runner has two belts one large and one for the steering pump

SOURCE: Noise from rear wheel area that sounds like bearing noise.

Might want to check your camber adjustments and look into shocks and struts. They could all be worn out but prolly the camber is off causing abnormal road noise and abnormal tire wear

SOURCE: Screeching noise coming from driver side tire

The high pitch sound may come from the brake pads as metal parts hit the disc to signal the owner that it needs change. The metal parts gets exposed when the pads have worn out. The brake also has a hub to cover the disc. See if the metal plate is hitting it but this issue would appear when the wheels are in motion. Check if it is the belts, have the tension checked out. Other than that the bearings are the other items on your wheel that could cause a high pitched sound when you car is in motion.

WHAT IS CAUSING THIS SQUEALING NOISE IN MY CAR?

Sounds like a dragging brake pad. There is an adhesive that can be applied between the calipers and the pads. Or it may be time for a rear end brake change.

What would make a trans squeal while driving down the road?

You don't say, Front or rear wheel drive. First check oil level, On rear wheel drive check the thrower plate on the tail shaft at the diff end is not bent and rubbing on the seal, A dry oil seal can make this noise.so can the U/Joints. on front wheel drive , check the cv joints , dry oil seals , the drive shaft inner cv joints have a thrower plate that may be bent. worn or binding brakes can make this noise also.

Struts noise?

I would tend to believe it's more likely a worn sway bar bushing or link if it's a rattle or a small clunk, if it's a loud clunk probably a strut, try bouncing he back of the car when parked, if you get the clunk probably a strut if only when driving, turning, braking probably just a bushing on the sway bar

I have 2002 honda civic with noise coming from rear sounds like a noisey wheel bearing have jacked up both sides and spun wheels with no sign of noise .

Check Tires for feather edge. Join your fingers together, move around the rear Tire from front to back and vice versa on both of the rear Tires and feel the smoothness. If the tread of the Tire resist the fingers in one direction and smooth on the other, then the Tires may be producing the abnormal noise.
Temporarily bring both the front Tires to the rear and rear Tires to the front on the same side, drive the car and watch the noise. If the noise begins to come from the front end, then the Tires are defective and need replacement. . If the noise still comes from the rear wheels then the rear wheel bearings need replacement.(You can also rotate the Tires in criss cross manner temporarily)
The bearings often vary noise with and without load. Be sure to troubleshoot the noise before spending money on costlier spares.

Rear brakes (driver-side) squeal after replacing rotors and pads

you need to grease the metal clips at the top and bottom of the pads (dont get grease on the rotor or pad though) and also spray some "disc brake quiet" on the back of the pads. it comes in a red can and the spray that comes out is like sticky red paint. do those 2 things and the squeals will be gone.
