Question about GE 24 in. Profile PDW9880JSS Built-in Dishwasher

Ge profile dishwasher not draining Model no. pdw9280n20ss I checked the drain line at the garbage disposal. No blockage. Line is clear. The back flow loop is high and not kinked. Only a small trickle of water comes out of the disposal drain at the end of cycle. No forceful pressure of water like before. I removed the smaller grill drain area and cannot feel any objects down in there. I do not know how to remove the larger fine mesh grill on bottom. Any suggestions?

Did you ever figure out how to remove that large mesh bit? I am stuck at the same spot and would love a hint.

Whirlpool dishwasher F8 E1 error

You have a blockage in the drain line someplace. If you have a garbage disposer, check to see that it is clear where the dishwasher connects to it. Also check and make sure that the drain hose is higher then the inlet to the disposer to prevent water draining back into the drain line from the disposer. If that's clear you have a blockage somewhere in the drainline. Best to unit from cabinet and check it

GE profile dishwasher won't drain. It has happened twice now

Hi

If you can hear a humming noise, then that is the problem due to pump. The pump gets energized but not rotating probably due to something stuck in the impeller. Check for that impeller unit and try to replace it.
A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Thank you !!

My gld6500l dishwasher worked fine, then my husband replaced a broken garbage disposal. The next day I ran my dishwasher and it now will not drain. Coincidence, or could the two be related?

Yes probably a connection. The dishwasher drain connects to the the Garbage disposal . If the line is kinked then the dishwasher will not drain. Plus the dishwasher has to have a plug knocked out where the drain line goes into the garbage disposal. I am sure this is your problem.

GE profile dishwasher won't drain

Common cause of this problem is a partially blocked drain line. Disconnect drain line and make sure entire path is clear, including where it connects to the sink drain or garbage disposal. Also, make sure all screens and the drain area at the bottom of the dishwasher are completely clear.

Water draining backinto dishwasher from garbage disposal

You have a clog where the drain pipe leaves the garbage disposal that isn't draining fast enough or not at all. Or it could be a clog in the dishwasher drain hose where it connects onto the disposal.

It's a drain clog within the disposal. Try a drain cleaner, if no luck, you will likely need to replace it.

LG Dishwasher model # LDS4821 Constanly giving a OE error on the control panel

On the display a D looks much like an O. You probably have a DE error code which indicates a drain problem. Check your drain line, make sure the hose isnt kinked and the drain line is not blocked especially at the connection to the sink or garbage disposal. If that is all clear you may have a blockage in your drain pump....or the pump itself could be bad.

There is a drain hole in the side (probably) of the garbage disposal which must be manually "punched out" in order to attach the hose from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal and thereby allow for draining. Think of this as the dishwasher piggy-backing on the existing drain system for the sink/garbage disposal. I am certain this will solve your problem.

Since water doesn't drain out ,it could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!
