Agitater starts running at beginning of cycle while water is filling keeps agitating like it stuck on whats the fix maytag model mvwc6esww

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Hello, I recently installed a new faucet in our kitchen, hence turning the water. Not aware that my wife tried to wash dishes in the dishwasher before i turned the water back on, i think she damaged our...

Without a brand and model number, here is my best thoughts on what to check;
1) Was the shut off valve for water going to the dishwasher turned on after new faucet install? Is it turned on now?
2) Is water getting to the dishwasher water inlet control valve?
3) If water is getting to the water inlet control valve, unplug the dishwasher and check the solenoid to see if it is shorted. Unplug the solenoid. Using an ohm meter, check for 500-1000 ohms resistance. If there is no resistance, it is most likely shorted and needs to be replaced.

Doesnt seem to be filling with water

Is the pump running (trying to fill). If so it sounds like the ilnlet solenoid valve is not opening or is blocked. If the pump is not running then the control P.C.B. may not be working properly or the water level probe is short circuit. Disconnect the water probe (top or side of boiler with a single wire attached) and listen for filling. If it starts filling after disconnecting the probe then replace the probe. I can't remember where the inlet solenoid is located in this machine but trace the water circuit from the inlet hose to the boiler and look for a rectangular brass block with a larger black plastic block attached and with 2 or 3 wires connected. Check for water flow to the inlet side and if water is getting to it, then replace this device with a new item. If no water is getting to it then trace the blockage in the circuit leading to it. It is possible but unlikely that the control P.C.B. is not sending power to this inlet solenoid but only check for voltage to it if you are comfortable with high voltage testing. If there is no voltage there when it is trying to fill then the P.C.B. is at fault. Good luck.

The water does not load when running wash cycle

HI. This is a water inlet valve issue. I recommend testing this device. It may be faulty.

To access the inlet valve remove the lower panel located beneath the door. The panel is usually held in place with two screws either above or below the panel. It may be necessary to first open the door to the dishwasher to reach the screws over the panel, then close the door to remove the panel. The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it. One hose will lead from the valve to the pump/motor assembly in the center of the dishwasher. Check that the hoses are securely connected to the valve and that there are no kinks in the hoses which could restrict water flow. There are two wires (four, if it has two solenoids) connected to the water inlet valve. Label the wires and connections so that you can properly reconnect them later. The wires are connected with slip on connectors. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire itself). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If either is corroded they should be cleaned or replaced. Use a continuity tester or multimeter to test for continuity. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X1. Touch one probe to each terminal. A reading of infinity indicates a bad solenoid that must be replaced. Different brands and models will have various measurements, but the valve should show some resistance if it is functioning properly. If your valve has two solenoids, test the second one in the same way as the first.

  • NOTE_If the inlet proves to be functional with no, this will lead to the control. Its has failed in this case. Replace it asap

Water is on and reaches the hose but does not go into the dishwasher.

Check the beginning of the hose for debris. If not that, take the front bottom panel off and remove the IN hose from the pump. There is either a stuck plunger or a clogged screen.

Water not getting into dishwaser when starting

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you are getting water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

To access the inlet valve remove the lower panel located beneath the door. The panel is usually held in place with two screws either above or below the panel. It may be necessary to first open the door to the dishwasher to reach the screws over the panel, then close the door to remove the panel. If your valve has two solenoids, test the second one in the same way as the first. If the solenoid is working properly, but water leaks through the valve even when the dishwasher is off, then the valve itself is the problem. Debris may be preventing the valve from closing. If the valve cannot be cleaned, it will have to be replaced. The valve can also fail mechanically. So even if it passes the electrical test, it may still require replacement. If you have ruled out all other possibilities, go ahead and replace the valve.

Water not getting to panel when furnace is on

Assuming that your humidistat panel in on the cold air return, I would remove the panel and check that some lint or dust possibly is stuck to the sensor. Also check the operation of the solenoid easily when the furnace is running by turning the dial back and forth and you can hear the solenoid open and close.
