Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

My psp problem

My psp has charged a long time when i turned it on this morning it flicked on then off then on then off i didnt drop it my dogs didnt hit it nothing that i know of had contact to it so whats wrong?

    I almost have the same problem i left my psp on top of my tv for a day or 2 then i came back to turn it on the green light would turn on for less then a sec and turn back of and when i charage the yellow light turns on.

It Sounds like you need a new battery... or you may have to clean the charging contacts

Need Some Help, My Psp 3001, Turns Off On It's Own, While I'm Playing A Game Or Listning To Music, What can i do???

Here are some instruction to help fix your problem.
Put the PSP down on a table with the LCD screen facing up.
  • 2 Plug the power cord of the PSP power supply into the PSP's power outlet. Plug the AC plug of the PSP power supply into an AC socket.
  • 3 Perform a hard reset on the PSP by pushing up on the power switch at the lower-right corner with your index finger.
  • 4 Count to 15. Release the PSP's power switch. Count to 30.
  • 5 Flick the PSP's power switch up with your index finger and release it. Repeat this procedure a second time.
  • 6 Wait as the PSP reboots, starts up and stays on.
  • 7 Remove the PSP power supply's power cord from the PSP's power outlet. Remove the PSP power supply's AC plug from the AC socket.
  • 8 Flick the power switch up with your index finger to turn off the PSP.

    I lowered the feed dogs with the drop feed lever, and now the feed dogs wont come back up.

    Flick switch to the UP position.....then....
    Turn handwheel one full revolution to reset the feeddog cam
    It is on page 26 of your User Manual

    My psp will not turn on when I flick the switch.

    easy i had this problem all you have to do is go buy a pandora battery off the internet just google (pandora battery)and your psp is bricked and the pandora battery can give you custom firmware CFW

    Psp was dropped and will not turn on unless charger is plugged in the wall.

    It sounds like a power supply problem. either your battery or the internal power source is defected do to the drop.. or maybe u didnt charge your battery. On one of my psps i have to wiggle around the ac adaptor to make sure its charging sometimes

    Not reading umd

    your son probably dropped his PSP at the time and the UMD drive broke or if your son says he didnt drop it you can get a cutip and softly clean your UMD reader the little bubble sorta in your PSP be carful while doing that

    yeh this may be your batery has gone but if it had it would alow u to play with the charger in. have u updated to the latest software?
