Question about Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

I had an "f2" error code on Fisher Paykel DD603

I removed the spray arm and impeller motor on the top (fault) unit and the darn thing broke in half with the metal impeller shaft sticking up. I then went the the bottom drawer and the whole impeller assy removed easily. Going back the the top and pulling on the metal shaft broke the shaft....

I finally got the bottom half of the impeller removed but damaged the large plastic piece the impeller asy fits in. After further investigation I noticed that the bottom impeller piece actually rubbed a hole through the large plastic piece that it fits in. So now I need to remove and replace the large plastic piece and order an new impeller assy.

How do I remove this plastic piece and how can I order new parts. I read in an earlier post that you can e-mail a service manual for FP.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I need a service manual for the dd603.

I too have the F2 error.
Just moved into a new house with a dishdrawer DD603, saw the F2 error. Found that the impeller seems to be stuck.
If anyone could forward me the workshop manual I would be very grateful.

I have the same F2 error. In my case the problem is the that Rotor (F&P "Motor Rotor Assy" P/N 52688P) and the housing (a part of the F&P "Kit Motor Assy" P/N 528042 ?) rubbed together either due to a small foreign object or a small piece of the rotor or the housing fractured & lodged between them while spinning. Both the rotor & housing have a ring of damage about 1/4" wide near the center of the magnets. Also the lower blades show signs of damage.

Replacing the Rotor Assembly is easy, but replacing the housing may not be.

F&P will sell me the replacement Kit Motor Assy noted above, but will not supply instructions to perform the replacement. I am also concerned that I will not have all of the pieces that I will need.

It appears from earlier posts that there is a service manual available. I would appreciate help in getting a copy. Thank you.

F2 Error code beeping

your pump has seized. To check remove all the dishes followed by the grey dish wrack wedged in the bottom. Lift off the plastic spray arm to reveal a grey plastic ring around the outside of the stainless mesh, and you will also see the blue plastic impeller. Turn this anti clockwise and lift out the whole stainless mesh cover.
Then there is a brownish ring with the blue pump impeller on top. Turn this anticlockwise and the pump should lift straight up and out. My blue impeller had come off and lifted off with the brown ring leaving the rest of the pump stuck in the hole! I eventually managed to get it out without damaging the housing it fits into. Replace the motor/impeller unit and off you go.

There is an error code f2. How can I fix this?

The F2 code= siezed pump. The impeller may have come off and lifted off with it the brown ring leaving the rest of the pump stuck in the hole. So be careful here, get it out without damaging the housing it fits into. Replace the motor/impeller unit and off you go. Yours could just be stuck of course. A clean may do the same trick.

What is fault code f2 on fisher & paykel dishwasher

Rotor is not moving. Remove the spray arm, filters and the rotor, check for debris. Rotor impeller should turn if you try to turn it manually. If it does not - replace the rotor. Here is your part: http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net/ecart/item.php?item_id=231

Excessive motor noise all parts in place correctly DD603 bottom dishwasher won't turn on top dishwasher just makes noise

Disassemble the pump and check the impeller. I would bet it's broken and the noise is caused by pieces rattling around. (I'm inferring that the part on top that isn't turning is the spray arm; that won't turn if there isn't any water spraying out of it.)

Dishdrawer model DD603 gives fault F2 (Motor). Unit has only been used a few times. What to do? Out of warranty.

Ok this is what you do you need to swap over the motor rotors from top drawer to bottom drawer. check for anything jammming the rotor etc when you take it out. if it works with the other drawers rotor then you need a new motor rotor. cheers

PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK

Fisher paykel

Looks like another older post unanswered, but for the sake of info I will answer it anyway.

F2 is a "motor not sensed to be rotating" code. This can be a simple as the rotor not being seated in the base properly, or it can mean you need a new rotor part number 525884P. Sometimes the impeller locks up or there is an object caught in it. You can remove the wash arm and filter plate with no tools, and then twist the base of the rotor assembly counter-clockwise and lift it right out. Try and spin it by hand. If it is frozen, it will need to be replaced.

As I said, no tools needed. You can get them here:
