These days every programs have started explaining things by showing you a video clips which requires downloading through a software called adobe flash player. The process of downloading is quite time consuming though it is a reasonably short programs. My question is simply why, what & how?

Flash player is a program used to play and see video clips and not to download video. There are other softwares used to download and convert video to appropriate files compatible to your video player. Flash player is downloaded using an add-on to your browser (Adobe Download Manager). This Adobe DLM will be downloaded first but most of the time browser will pop up an error notifying you and asking if you really want to install the add-on. Answer YES to this question and continue installation. Your browser will be restarted, then the Adobe DLM will open and the downloading and installation of the Adobe Flash Player will start. Once downloaded, installation of the Adobe Flash Player will require that you close all browser, Good Luck

I would convert the DVD files into files that can be imported into the software. There are plenty of free file converters to choose from. Just watch what you are download as they can have things in them that might change your browser etc. Always go for the harder options when downloading them. Never the quick options!

Which software could run a swf file?

Cannot open any programs, keeps asking "chose

Hi,

Good day. Your correct my friend. Usually if a program that is usually used in a computer then suddenly uninstall, all files that uses that program will show that message your getting because your computer cannot open them . What you need to do is to install the program or software again. For example, if your downloading a file in pdf you need to download adobe reader or if you are download a video file you need to download and install the player like mediaplayer, divx. You just need to make sure what type of file your downloading and you can select the option to check the internet for softwares that can run this file. Hope this information help you a bit. I use firefox4-- now I cant install adobe flash. (Had it before) It will download, run, and says installed, but it doesnt. I cant run videos on my emails or use the enhansed viewer on ancestry.

You need to install the latest version and make absolutely sure you have no prior Adobe Flash Player software installed in your system. Click on "start", then "control panel". Find "programs and Features" and right click on and open. Find all software with any reference to Adobe Flash Player and uninstall it. After uninstall, restart system, go back to programs and features and make sure all software for Flash Player is gone. Then go here;

When you go to download the player you need to make sure you're out of all apps taht will interfere with download,ie, Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger, Facebook, etc. If you are in something taht intereferes a window will open and give you a list if things to exit. Do this and you will see your list go away until good for download. Finish your download and restart. Go back to Programs and Features and look for Adobe Flash Player 10.

I try to play farmville on face book but it tells me i need adobe and it will not except the downlodownload

hi first of all check your computer for existing adobe software (outdated ones ) i`m presuming you need flashplayer to play the game ! from the begining press Start on the bottom bar , Control panel , add or remove programs and remove the similar adobe program its asking you to download (again im presuming you already had adobe software installed in your pc if not ignore this ), restart your pc and go the adobe website and download the software required for the facebook application and follow the installation setup it may ask you to download Adobe Download Manager , download this aswell , it might take some time for everything to be installed and dont forget to close all (ALL ) windows before starting the install procedure !Finally restart your pc

I received a message a day ago that the adobe flash plug-in has crashed; now the media player for online videos (like current soap opera shows will not play.

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Add/Remove Programs
Click to select Adobe Flash plug-in
Click to uninstall
Restart your computer
Access: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
which will automatically install the newest version,
which should fix your problem.
