Does not work. Compass is 180 deg off, does not respond. Tried removing batteries, replacing, turning unit on.
The Vista HCx has an electronic compass. You don't need to be moving
for it to work, but you do need to calibrate it. To calibrate the
compass:
You need to hold the unit level for the Magnetic Compass to work correctly. The specs for a properly calibrated compass are +/- 5°

Compass will not function unless you actually move around.

My Garmin 1450 keys do now respond when I press them, especially the top row. Others won't respond either intermidetly. Are these work repairing and how and how much? Thanks, Mike
My Garmin 72H works on batteries, but not with only the power cable connected. I tried to wire it with an other wire but that also did not work. So the problem must be in the GPS... in the fuse? How do I open the case and replace the fuse?
