Question about Westinghouse LTV-32w4 32.02 in. LCD HDTV
My TV has a normal picture for about a half hour after it's turned on, then it shuts the video while the sound and power remain on. Turning it off will restore the video, but it shuts down again soon after.
Keeping a fan going behind the TV keeps the video on, so I figure it's an overheating problem. What's the fix?
I had nearly exactly the same problem. Like you, I noted that keeping a fan going solves the problem, so i just went out and found a really small and silent fan that I could attach to the back of the tv. Since my TV had a USB port, I found a $10 USB-powered computer fan and attached it there. Full story at http://bottleworld.net/?p=193 . Hope that helps.
