Question about Watches

Open Question

Dear, I have an Ascot radio controlled clock (Serie 12/2009, AB9-FA-716). Since two months, the clock is 11 minutes late. I am unable to set the normal time, as this clock is radio controlled. Could it come from a low battery ? Or is there any way to set back the normal and exact time ? Thank you in advance for your help, and kind regards.

SOURCE: I have a Shontek radio

Your radio should have come with a receiver of some sort for the radio signals to set itself. I had this same issue with my clock when the battery in the receiver died ... try replacing this too. It took me forever to figure out what it was because I had forgotten that it had its own radio receiver ... then once I remembered it existed, I had to find it, but replacing the battery fixed the problem. Hope that helps :-)

I have an older large wall clock - model 88100. It is 2 minutes fast. I've replaced the battery but it still runs 2 minutes fast. Always the same amount. Any ideas? With an atomic clock it should be right...

If it is a radio controlled clock and it is consistently out, then the hands need re-setting. I have hand a similar experience with my watch, so I fully understand the problem.

You can adjust the hand settings by pressing the right buttons!

If you have the instructions, then refer to the to adjust the hands. If you do not have the instruction, then go to the makers web site and look for manuals download.

Try the following link http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw3054.pdf . This was successful in finding the manual you require.
