Question about Sony UP DR100 Thermal Photo Printer
i have just bought a second hand laptop on windows xp to run my sony up-dr100 printer. i use an adaptec usbxchange scsi-usb converter and the printer installs and works no problem on my other xp laptop.
however, on the newer laptop, everytime i try to install the port, i get the error message "target device cannot be found". when the printer is attached, windows finds the printer and installs it as a generic printer. this is the same on my other laptop and it works fine.
any ideas how i can get the newer laptop to install the port?
I have a question does the first lap top still use the usb cable?
1) the cable is crappy
2) the printers ports my have malfunctioned
If it is: (common mistakes) 1) the second computer doesn't have drivers for the usb - the first laptop may be running on an older service pack so it can bipass the cord. 2) you turned the computer on before the printer.
