Timing belt-Iunderstand that it goes around the brush and the inner pully. What about the small metal pully in the center?

Remove the bottom plate, the V belt goes around the inner pulley and then the brush roll. The flat belt goes around the motor shaft and will stretch to around the bigger pulley by the V belt.
