Veritas backup exec 10.0 problem - backups fail -...

Ok, I have a PowerEdge with tape drive and Windows Server 2003 R2 installed. I also have DFS running on the machine, but no SQL VSS service (that I can find). I've tried to back up files/directories that are part of DFS and those that are not and get the same errors no matter what. I'm not sure what else to do...
