HP Media Center 7680n - no power - no light

I have a HPMedia Center 7680n. It was on one day and I selected the option to shut it down. However, when it shut down it would not turn back on. The green power light on the back remained on. However, upon pushing the power button it would not turn on. I switched out power cords and it still did the same. I let it sit for several hours and when I returned, the green light was off and now remains off eventhough the power cord is still hooked up. I went though the HP troubleshooting steps for power issues and exhausted them all (switch cords, resetting voltage switch, unplugging and reconnecting power sources within the machine) except having it serviced and parts replaced. Before I go to that costly extreme, can anyone provide me with any additional actions to take?

I replaced the power supply with a Antec Basiq 350w power supply and now it is working wonderfully.

I shut down my computer the other day and now when I hit the power button the computer is completely dead and will not turn on

I would look on the back of the computer to see if the light for the power supply is illuminated. If not, try another cord. It is possible that the power supply has failed.

I have a HP Media Center PC m1264n desktop.I can turn it on and 1 minute or maybe 5 to 10 minutes into it,it will just shut down, but the power led light on the front of the PC stays on.I reboot it and it...

Is it going to sleep or is it actually shutting down? Do you have to push the power button to turn it back on? Just a thought - if you have Windows 7, go to Start, Control Panel, then System and Security. Now check 'Change when the computer sleeps' under Power Options. Under Edit Plan Settings, what do you have for 'Put the computer to sleep'. Does '20 minutes' show up in the box? Open it and change it to 'Never' and then Save changes. If this didn't help you, maybe someone else can.
