I would say just re-install your Windows, you will not lose any data unless you format the existing Operating System.

Incase you may have previously created a password recovery disc, then you can boot using that disc & recover or create a new Windows login password. However, I guess you may not have created a password recovery disc.
The other option is to reinstall Windows, but this would consume a lot of time & will incur data loss, incase you have not backed up data.
Hence, the best solution is as follows :-
For this solution, you will have to use another computer to download a free software from http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ , named ophcrack, is a free Windows password recovery tool : the best free Windows password recovery tool available.

You could create a password reset disk. With the disk you could remove the forgotten password. Only four steps:
Step 1: Download Windows Login Recovery from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com and install it on another available computer
Step 2: Run the software and use it to create a password reset CD/DVD or password reset USB flash drive
Step 3: Change the BIOS setting of your locked computer to make it boot from the CD-ROM or USB drive (Start computer and press F2 or Delete to enter BISO setup)
Step 4: Boot your locked computer from the created disk and remove the password
It is easy and safe. Hope to help you.
